On February 4th, Comrade Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting on the investment plan for the procurement of equipment for boarding schools at the primary and secondary levels in border communes. Attending the meeting were leaders from several departments and agencies, representatives from the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and design consulting units.

In line with the policy of investing in school construction for border communes, Son La province is focusing resources on building 13 boarding schools for primary and secondary levels. Alongside the construction of the schools, relevant departments and units are actively developing investment plans for the procurement of equipment for these schools, including: equipment for classrooms (desks, chairs, whiteboards, TVs or multi-functional projectors, air conditioners, and subject-specific rooms), learning support rooms (libraries, educational equipment, youth union rooms, and traditional rooms), auxiliary rooms (council meeting rooms, subject group rooms, medical rooms, sports fields, and multi-purpose halls), living facilities (kitchens, storage rooms, dining halls, boarding houses, student management rooms), minimum teaching equipment, and other equipment.

The delegates discussed several issues: the legality of the equipment procurement package; the progress of consulting and construction work for the equipment; the capacity of the construction unit and the supplier; the development of a list of equipment to be purchased; hiring a price appraisal firm, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that departments and agencies focus on developing a list of investment equipment; preparing budget estimates for each school, ensuring that the allocated investment items are not exceeded; and that investors proactively select capable suppliers, ensuring that the documentation complies with legal regulations…
