Chiềng On Border Guard Station maintains border security so that the people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet.
During the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, officers and soldiers of the Chieng On Border Guard Station always uphold their responsibility: "Enjoying the New Year without forgetting our duties," ensuring that the people in the area can celebrate the New Year safely and peacefully along the border.
The Chiềng On Border Guard Post manages over 23 km of border line within the territories of Yên Sơn and Phiêng Khoài communes. Before, during, and after Tet (Lunar New Year), the Post's Command proactively developed plans and organized forces to be on duty 24/7; intensified patrols and controls; and closely coordinated with functional forces and local authorities to closely monitor the situation from early on, promptly detecting and preventing violations. The Post launched a high-intensity campaign to prevent and combat crime; combating drug trafficking, human trafficking; and smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods during Tet.
Along with the task of protecting the border, the unit also assigned officers and soldiers to be responsible for households, visiting each house to offer New Year greetings and encouragement, so that people could celebrate the spring festival joyfully and unitedly. With the sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers of Chiềng On Border Guard Post, the close bond between the military and the people is increasingly affirmed as a solid foundation for the border to remain stable and safe in the early days of the new year.
