Of these, nearly 1,300 were international visitors, a 50% increase; the remainder were domestic visitors (over 298,000), also an increase of nearly 20% compared to the same period last year.

Of the tourists visiting Son La, over 135,000 stayed overnight; the occupancy rate reached 85%. Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at approximately 360 billion VND.

The impressive results of tourism activities in the early days of the new year are an important foundation for Son La to strive to achieve the goal of welcoming more than 5.5 to 6 million visitors in 2026; and aiming for 9 million visitors by 2030.
