Specifically, the expanded traditional boat racing festival will include teams from 41 villages and sub-districts of Quynh Nhai commune, as well as teams of athletes from localities with a shared riverine culture in communes within Son La, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau provinces.
At the Quỳnh Nhai Commune Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2026, visitors can also explore and pray for peace at the Quỳnh Nhai Spiritual and Cultural Tourism Area; visit ecological tourist spots around the lake, enjoy Da River fish cuisine, and learn about the unique culture of the ethnic groups in the riverine region. This is an annual event organized by the local authorities to preserve traditional culture, promote the tourism potential of the lake, and create a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the new spring.
