The second Son La Coffee Festival in 2026 is being urgently prepared for organization, with a focus on promoting the Arabica brand, expanding trade connections, attracting investment, and linking coffee products with the province's tourism development.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the second Son La Coffee Festival in 2026, the festival is expected to be held in October at Tay Bac Square.
To date, the basic preparations have met the requirements, from developing the opening ceremony script and branding, to logistics and plans for ensuring security, traffic, medical services, and electricity supply.

One of the key activities is the "Son La Coffee - Connecting Values, Sustainable Development" exhibition, with 240 booths. To date, 140 businesses and cooperatives have registered to participate, creating a space to showcase products, connect supply and demand, and expand cooperation opportunities for coffee producers and businesses.

Alongside the trade fair, many activities are being urgently finalized, such as the "Son La Arabica" Marathon; coffee brewing, roasting, and tasting competitions; a workshop on improving coffee quality; business networking programs; a "Coffee Farm Experience"; a Farmers' Talent Contest; and an exhibition of beautiful photos of Son La coffee.
The second Son La Coffee Festival in 2026 is expected to become an opportunity to promote and elevate the brand of Son La Arabica coffee, attract investment, develop tourism, and spread the image of Son La.
As the largest Arabica coffee growing region in the country, Son La currently has approximately 34,000 hectares of coffee plantations, producing nearly 40,000 tons of green coffee beans annually. Of this, more than 1,120 hectares are specialty coffee and over 35,000 hectares are certified for sustainable production.
The "Son La Coffee" brand has been granted geographical indication protection, affirming its position in both domestic and international markets. To date, the province has 5 OCOP products from coffee, including the pure ground coffee product of Bich Thao Coffee Cooperative, which has achieved 5-star OCOP certification, contributing to enhancing the value and competitiveness of Son La coffee.
