On the evening of May 8th, in Moc Son ward, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Son La province, organized the opening of the "Highland Flavors and Colors" Exhibition.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; Ms. Nguyen Hang Nga, Director of the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Center; Mr. Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province; representatives from units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives from participating provinces including Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Lai Chau, and Dien Bien; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies; and a large number of officers and soldiers from the Northwest Training and Mobile Center, as well as local people and tourists.

The "Highland Flavors" exhibition, taking place from May 8th to 10th, features a variety of activities, including: photo exhibitions on "The Beauty of the Country and People of the Highlands" and "The Colorful Culture of Ethnic Groups in the Highlands"; a display space showcasing "Highland Flavors"; and a folk dance club festival. This cultural event aims to introduce and promote the potential for cultural, sports, and tourism development, as well as the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups in the highlands, to domestic and international friends, contributing to the preservation and promotion of national cultural values in the era of integration and development.

In her opening remarks at the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Hang Nga, Director of the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Center, emphasized: This year's exhibition is built with rich, in-depth, and experiential content. Through the exhibition spaces, the public can access valuable documents and images about President Ho Chi Minh and the people of the highlands; at the same time, they can look back at the development journey of the highlands in many fields. The exhibition contributes to enriching the spiritual life of the community, strengthening exchanges and connections between localities, and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to friends at home and abroad.

Immediately following the opening ceremony, an art program themed "Spring Colors of Son La" took place. The elaborately staged program featured seven spectacular song, dance, and musical performances praising the land and people of Son La; vividly reflecting the cultural life of the Dao, Mong, and Khmu ethnic groups; and the changes and development of Son La during the period of integration and growth. These outstanding performances left a lasting impression, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for both locals and tourists.
