The Trade Promotion Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the People's Committee of Son La province, organized the "Business Networking" conference.Son La Arabica CoffeeThe "2026" initiative aims to create opportunities for connection between businesses and entities involved in the coffee industry and related products and equipment.
According to the organizers, the conference will take place from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Public Administration Center.Son La provinceThe conference is aimed at businesses and organizations operating in the coffee industry and related agricultural products; machinery, equipment for coffee brewing and production. This is one of the notable events within the framework of the second Son La Coffee Festival in 2026, expected to be an opportunity for participating units to exchange ideas, seek cooperation opportunities, connect trade, and expand markets for products in the coffee industry chain.

Coffee continues to be identified as one of Son La's key crops.
Son La province possesses a large-scale Arabica coffee growing area. According to information from the province's specialized agencies, Son La currently has the largest Arabica coffee growing area in the country. With 36,397 hectares, coffee has become one of Son La's key crops. Of this, nearly 20,000 hectares are currently producing coffee beans; the estimated coffee bean production in 2026 is 40,000 tons. Notably, the entire province has 1,120 hectares of specialty coffee, producing nearly 1,000 tons of coffee beans, gradually forming a high-quality product segment.
In recent years, the province has focused not only on expanding the cultivated area but also on improving the quality of its raw material sources. The entire province has 35,465 hectares of coffee certified under sustainable production standards (RA, 4C, CP); 141 hectares meeting VietGAP standards; and 543.7 hectares cultivated organically. Two high-tech coffee cultivation zones, totaling 1,039 hectares, have attracted 1,560 participating households; and six coffee chains have been established covering over 2,172 hectares.
From the raw material areas, businesses and cooperatives are strengthening links with farmers to control quality right from the production and harvesting stages. Many products have established a foothold in the market. The geographical indication "Son La Coffee" is currently managed by 8 organizations; the entire province has 5 coffee products that have achieved this status.OCOP, including 1 five-star product and 4 four-star products.
Organizing this conference in the context of Son La's coffee industry expanding its production, processing, and market reach is expected to contribute to strengthening connections between raw material areas and businesses, distribution systems, and suppliers of machinery, equipment, and services in the coffee value chain.
