During his visit to Son La province on June 6th and 7th, Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, and his wife visited and experienced several tourism and agricultural models in Moc Chau and Van Ho areas. Welcoming the delegation were: Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of several relevant departments and agencies.
The group visited a model plum orchard integrated with tourism in the Na Ka plum valley.
The delegation visited and experienced agricultural tourism spaces, linked to the production and consumption of local agricultural products in Na Ka plum valley; tea hills, a tourism development model combining agriculture and OCOP products at Mocha Hill Tourist Area; the traditional cultural space of the Thai ethnic minority, participating in cultural exchanges and solidarity dances with local people at Vat Hong Community Tourism Area; experiencing the Bach Long Glass Bridge at Moc Chau Island Tourist Area; visiting the Moc Chau Orchid Exhibition Festival 2026; surveying high-quality plant seed production models and learning about cooperation between Japanese and Son La businesses in the agricultural sector at TAKII Seed Company Limited; and visiting the export tea processing line, learning about the production and processing of tea according to Japanese standards at Satoen Tea Factory.

Impressed by the natural beauty, the people, and especially the agricultural-tourism economic models on the Moc Chau plateau, Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, and his delegation highly appreciated the potential for developing agricultural tourism, high-tech agriculture, and distinctive products of Son La province. These are also areas where Son La province wishes to strengthen cooperation, attract investment, and expand connections for the consumption of agricultural products with Japanese partners in the future.
