Attending the talks on the Son La province side were: Mr. Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province; Mr. Vi Duc Tho, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province; members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

Representing the provinces of Laos were comrades Som Sak Pin Keo, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction Committee of Bokeo province; and Van Na Keo San Ty, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction Committee of Udomxay province.

During the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from the Lao Front for National Construction of Bokeo and Oudomxay provinces. He also provided information on the outstanding achievements of the Fatherland Front's work in the first six months of 2026. Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province effectively promoted its role in gathering and building national unity; mobilizing the people to actively implement socio-economic development goals; and maintaining national defense and security. It organized 129 monitoring activities and 41 social critique sessions on draft documents of the Party Committee and government at the same level; and participated in 121 monitoring delegations of the Party Committee, National Assembly delegations, People's Councils, People's Committees, and other agencies and units at the same level. Social welfare work was fully and promptly implemented; and over 26.3 billion VND was raised through propaganda and mobilization efforts for the "For the Poor" Fund of Son La province. Support was provided for the demolition of over 180 temporary houses, worth over 10.4 billion VND...

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairpersons of the Lao Front for National Construction of Bokeo and Udomxay provinces expressed their gratitude for the warm and cordial reception from Son La province. They also highly appreciated the achievements in the province's front work, sharing experiences in gathering and building national unity, mobilizing the people to participate in socio-economic development, building new rural areas, and maintaining local security and order.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province handed over gifts from the Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee to the Lao Front for National Construction in Bokeo and Udomxay provinces.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province and the Lao Front for National Construction of Bokeo and Oudomxay provinces signed a memorandum of understanding, with key contents including: Continuing to coordinate propaganda to raise awareness among the people of both countries, especially the younger generation, about the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; creating favorable conditions for the Fatherland Front and local political and social organizations to strengthen friendly exchanges and mutual support; encouraging the organization of activities to exchange and share experiences in mobilizing the people to build national unity, participating in building the Party and government, social supervision and criticism, personnel organization, streamlining the apparatus, and improving the capacity of cadres working in the Fatherland Front...

Earlier, the delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction from Bokeo and Udomxay provinces, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, laid wreaths at the "Uncle Ho with the People of the Ethnic Groups of Northwest Vietnam" monument and offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple in Northwest Vietnam Square.
