According to the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the conference aims to promote and market research, connecting businesses involved in purchasing, distributing, processing, and exporting Son La coffee products in domestic and international markets.
The conference will take place on October 11th at Hall No. 218, Son La Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Administrative Center Building (Northwest Square, Chieng Coi Ward, Son La Province).
The conference will provide specific information on the production and processing of local specialty coffee products to participating locations, connecting stakeholders and boosting consumption and exports.
Here, the parties also exchanged market information, requirements regarding conditions and standards for exported coffee products; facilitated trade connections between coffee producers, processors, and exporters in Son La and domestic and international consuming and importing partners; and organized the signing of contracts, memoranda of understanding, and cooperation agreements between businesses, cooperatives, and partners.
According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by the end of 2025, Son La province will have 26,120 hectares of Arabica coffee, with an estimated production of 37,724 tons of green coffee beans. Compared to 2024, the area of Arabica coffee increased by 12.05%, and production increased by 33.97%.
The province's coffee exports reached approximately 27,800 tons, valued at US$112.38 million. Son La coffee products are now present in many major markets such as the EU, North America, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN.
In its development plan for 2030 and vision for 2035, Son La province will maintain approximately 35,000 hectares of coffee (including Arabica coffee). The province will focus on reviewing raw material areas according to planning, linking production with environmental protection, adapting to climate change, and meeting international standards, especially the new requirements of the export market.

The "Son La Arabica Coffee Networking Conference 2026" is part of the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026 series of events with the theme "Son La Arabica – Reaching the World." According to the plan, the festival will bring together producers, roasters, export businesses, and international importers. This year, Son La province also plans to organize a "businessmen's coffee" program and honor outstanding production and processing units annually. At the same time, the province is also developing hands-on experiential tourism tours "from nursery to coffee cup" in key raw material areas such as Chieng Mung, Chieng Coi, Muoi Noi, etc. |
