Mr. Vu Tien Dinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Mai Son District, said: In recent years, Mai Son District has proactively coordinated with departments, agencies, and businesses to expand foreign economic activities through promotion and trade facilitation; introducing potential for economic development cooperation; proactively promoting trade; expanding import and export markets; and boosting foreign investment attraction. The district has also encouraged businesses and cooperatives to participate in displaying the district's products at events to introduce, promote, and sell OCOP products and other typical, high-quality agricultural products.
Mai Son strengthens and consolidates cooperative relations with international organizations with which it has long-standing ties, and continues to expand cooperation with other international organizations; welcomes and works with international delegations visiting the district; actively organizes and participates in trade promotion seminars and conferences, promoting the potential and strengths of the district and the province; and leverages international cooperation and support. In addition, it regularly updates and provides information on trade policies, market share, consumer preferences, product quality standards, regulations on technical barriers and tariffs to businesses and cooperatives involved in production, processing, and trading in the area to help them develop effective production and business plans. Simultaneously, it supports businesses and cooperatives in registering and listing the district's agricultural products on e-commerce platforms.

Ngoc Hoang Cooperative in Na Bo commune cultivates nearly 100 hectares of dragon fruit and collaborates with over 100 households in Moc Chau, Yen Chau, and Thuan Chau districts to grow an additional 100 hectares of red-fleshed dragon fruit; the annual production reaches over 5,000 tons. The cooperative is currently partnering with reputable domestic import-export companies to introduce its products to international markets.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, Deputy Director of Ngoc Hoang Agricultural Cooperative, happily stated: "The entire dragon fruit growing area of the cooperative applies clean production processes according to organic, VietGAP, and Global GAP standards... meeting all requirements and has been exported to markets in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Japan... Since the beginning of the year, the cooperative has exported over 40 shipments of red-fleshed dragon fruit to European countries, totaling more than 800 tons."
By boosting foreign relations, from 2023 to the present, the district has exported over 4,000 tons of fresh fruit, with a total value of nearly 2.4 million USD; including 2,260 tons of mangoes to the Chinese market; 685 tons of dragon fruit to the Czech Republic and other European countries; over 1,000 tons of passion fruit to several European countries; and 64 tons of corn seeds to the Laotian market.
In addition, 61,642 tons of processed products were exported, valued at over US$43.5 million, including 47,087 tons of cassava starch, 7,600 tons of sugar, and 505 tons of dried longan to the Chinese market; 6,450 tons of coffee to the EU, North America, the United States, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries; 94,000 tons of clinker to the Chinese market, valued at over US$3 million; and over 6,700 tons of cement to the Laotian market...
