On September 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province announced that the National Tourist AreaMoc ChauIt continues to be honored as “Asia’s Leading Nature Destination 2026”.
The award was announced at the World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony, held on September 27th in the Maldives.

This is the fifth consecutive time, from 2022 to 2026, that Moc Chau has won this title, further affirming the appeal of the Moc Chau plateau on the regional tourism map.
Previously, Moc Chau was honored three times as the "World's Leading Nature Destination" in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
The continuous recognition from the WTA contributes to enhancing Moc Chau's image among domestic and international tourists. At the same time, it creates momentum for the locality to develop tourism products linked to natural landscapes and indigenous culture in a green and sustainable direction.
