An overview of the meeting.
The second Son La Coffee Festival in 2026 will take place from October 10th to 13th with many activities at the Northwest Square and key coffee-growing areas. Currently, preparations for the festival are focused on completing infrastructure, scripts, guest lists, and media coverage. The exhibition "Son La Coffee - Connecting Values, Sustainable Development" will have 240 booths, with approximately 140 businesses and cooperatives registered to participate. Activities such as the "Son La Arabica" Marathon, the Farmers' Competition, coffee brewing, roasting and tasting competitions, business networking seminars, the "Coffee Farm Experience" and a photo exhibition are being urgently prepared. The opening night will feature a "Drone Light Show" with 500 drones, showcasing 15 artistic scenes combined with music and commentary.

At the meeting, delegates focused on further discussions regarding preparations, protocol, and guest reception; information and publicity; fundraising and human resource mobilization; drone demonstration preparations; and technical conditions for live television broadcasting and livestreaming of the opening and closing ceremonies and concerts... ensuring the festival proceeds on schedule.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the 2nd Son La Coffee Festival in 2026 must create a highlight to promote and elevate the brand of Son La Arabica coffee, linked with investment promotion and tourism development. He requested that departments, agencies, and localities urgently finalize the program and script; meticulously prepare for reception, logistics, and technical aspects for live television broadcasts, livestreaming, and drone demonstrations; proactively secure funding and human resources; ensure security, transportation, and medical services; develop coffee-growing experience tours; and strengthen multi-platform and multi-language communication.
