On June 25th, the Department of Construction of Son La province, in coordination with the Pacific Construction Group of China, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding on information exchange and cooperation to enhance information sharing, experience sharing, and research cooperation opportunities in the field of infrastructure development, urban infrastructure, and transportation infrastructure in Son La province.

Attending the signing ceremony in Son La province were: Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Dao Tai Tue, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Construction.
Representing Pacific Construction Group were Mr. Ly Phi, General Director of the Group; Ms. Tong Dan Duong, Deputy General Director of the Group, and other members of the delegation.

At the ceremony, the Son La Provincial Department of Construction and the Pacific Construction Group approved a Memorandum of Cooperation. The two sides will coordinate the exchange of information on construction planning, urban and rural planning, urban system development planning, technical infrastructure, transportation, and the list of infrastructure projects that have been announced or authorized for provision by competent authorities; including information on the Moc Chau – Son La – Dien Bien expressway (CT.03), the section passing through Son La province.

At the same time, both sides shared experiences in mobilizing investment resources for the development of transportation infrastructure and urban infrastructure, and explored other cooperation opportunities in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Son La province has always considered attracting investors with capabilities, experience, financial resources, and advanced technology as one of the important solutions to promote socio-economic development. He highly appreciated the Group's capabilities and expressed his hope that the Group would continue to conduct in-depth research on the province's potential, advantages, and infrastructure development needs, thereby proposing suitable cooperation ideas and solutions that would bring practical benefits to both sides. He also requested the Department of Construction and other relevant departments and agencies to continue to closely coordinate with the Group in exchanging information, researching cooperation opportunities, and creating favorable conditions for the effective implementation of survey and research activities, based on strict compliance with Vietnamese law.
