VHO - On the afternoon of June 19th, in Hanoi, the People's Committee of Son La province organized a Business Networking program and announced the ambassador of Son La Arabica coffee to participate in the World Brewers Cup 2026 in the Kingdom of Belgium.

Attending the program were the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, Nguyen Dinh Viet; representatives of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association; representatives of departments, agencies, communes, wards, and coffee businesses and cooperatives in Son La province.
Son La is currently the largest Arabica coffee producing region in Vietnam, with approximately 34,000 hectares and an annual output of nearly 40,000 tons of green coffee beans.
Son La province currently has over 1,120 hectares of specialty coffee, with over 35,000 hectares certified for sustainable production. By 2025, the value of coffee exports is expected to reach over 112 million USD, accounting for over 40% of Son La province's total export value.
This program is an important activity aimed at building and developing the Son La Arabica coffee brand into a high-quality Vietnamese coffee brand with prestige in the international market. At the same time, it promotes the image of the Son La coffee growing region in conjunction with local culture, tourism, and economic development.
Seminar "The Future of Coffee in the High-Quality Coffee Market - Specialty Coffee Adapting to Climate Change"
At the program, delegates participated in a panel discussion on the topic "The Future of Coffee in the High-Quality Coffee Market - Specialty Coffee Adapting to Climate Change," focusing on solutions for developing high-quality coffee, increasing added value, building brands, and expanding international markets for Son La coffee.
Also at the event, the organizers announced that Mr. Tran Duc Thang, the winner of the Vietnam National Brewers Cup 2025, will become the ambassador for Son La Arabica coffee and represent Vietnam at the World Brewers Cup 2026 in Belgium.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also announced the 2nd Son La Coffee Festival in 2026, tentatively scheduled to be held in October 2026.
The event contributed to strengthening business connections, promoting the Son La Arabica coffee brand, and helping this specialty product of the Northwest region further assert its position in domestic and international markets.
