Implementing the cooperation program between Son La and the provinces of Laos, in 2012, Thuan Chau and Hua Muong districts organized a twinning relationship. The two districts regularly and extensively propagate to cadres, soldiers and people of all ethnic groups about the tradition of special solidarity and friendship, comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; between the two provinces of Son La and Hua Phan in general; and the two districts of Thuan Chau and Hua Muong in particular. Maintaining delegations to visit, work and exchange experiences in various fields; sending congratulatory letters on the occasion of the traditional New Year and National Day of the two countries. Promoting comprehensive cooperation, Thuan Chau district has supported Hua Muong district in educational infrastructure, disease prevention and control, and agricultural production development.

Thuan Chau district donates money and medical equipment to Hua Muong district to fight Covid-19 epidemic         

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, Vice Chairman of Thuan Chau District People's Committee said.: From 2019 to present, Thuan Chau district has coordinated with Hua Muong district to survey and implement the fruit tree development support program with a total support amount of 1 billion VND, selecting households to participate in the model. At the same time, assigning staff to regularly exchange information, provide technical guidance, and help build effective economic development models. Coordinate with Ngoc Lan Cooperative, Mai Son district, organize training sessions, transfer techniques, guide and accompany households participating in the model to prepare conditions for planting trees according to the correct time frame; provide seedlings, agricultural materials, 1,500 seedlings planted on an area of ​​6 hectares and hand them over to 6 households in Muong Pun village, Hua Muong district for care.

In addition, from 2012 to present, Thuan Chau district has supported Hua Muong district to build a 2-storey, 6-room classroom; support office equipment, purchase equipment to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic... with a total amount of more than 5 billion VND, contributing to affirming the close relationship and the spirit of mutual love and support to overcome difficulties between the two districts. In July, a delegation of Thuan Chau district visited and worked in Hua Muong district. The two districts exchanged and shared information on socio-economic development, national defense and security. Thuan Chau district supported Hua Muong district to carry out socio-economic development tasks with 100 million VND.
