On the evening of May 3rd, at Northwest Square, the Provincial People's Committee organized an art program with the theme "The Epic of Son La - Northwest Vietnam," to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and the Central Delegation's visit and speech to the people of Northwest Vietnam in Son La (May 7, 1959 - May 7, 2024); the 5th anniversary of the inauguration of the Monument of President Ho Chi Minh with the people of Northwest Vietnam (May 7, 2019 - May 7, 2024); and the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).

The art program "The Epic of Son La - Northwest Vietnam" is staged in three parts: The Spirit of Dien Bien Phu; The Vastness of Uncle Ho's Love; and Son La Welcomes a New Day. The program features performances by singers and actors from the Provincial Song and Dance Theatre and various amateur art troupes in the city.

The performers presented a comprehensive artistic program, featuring elaborately staged songs, dances, and musical performances, recreating the glorious history of the Dien Bien Phu campaign, "renowned throughout the world and shaking the earth." This allowed the audience to visualize a time of bombs and fire, the hardships and heroic sacrifices of the older generation; it celebrated the glorious Party, the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and commemorated the renewal of Son La province. The program attracted a large audience of local residents who came to watch and cheer.

The artistic program concluded with the "Dance of Unity" and a circle dance symbolizing solidarity, along with the harmonious participation of delegates, singers, actors, and the people, creating a joyful, enthusiastic, and meaningful atmosphere for the evening.
