On May 8th, Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam, paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Son La province.
Receiving the Ambassador and the delegation, Son La province was represented by Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh warmly welcomed the Ambassador and the delegation to Son La. He also informed them of some outstanding achievements in politics, socio-economics, national defense, and security of the province, as well as issues of interest to the delegation.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed the Ambassador about the province's outstanding achievements.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that in the future, the province would receive attention, research, and exploration of investment cooperation from India. During the implementation process, Son La province is committed to always accompanying, supporting, and creating the most favorable conditions for Indian investors to invest, produce, and conduct business; supporting tourism promotion; connecting the consumption of the province's agricultural export products in the Indian market; and assisting the province in consolidating and expanding relations with donors and non-governmental organizations.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam, thanked the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the provincial departments and agencies for their thoughtful and respectful reception. He expressed his desire to visit, learn about, and strengthen relations, acting as a bridge for investment cooperation in Son La province; especially in the fields of agriculture, agricultural exports, mineral exploitation, and hydropower construction.
The Ambassador respectfully invited Son La province to organize study tours to India to learn from its experiences; and to promptly implement cooperation in community projects on education and culture. India will support the province in implementing projects on building schools and hospitals, training courses, scholarships; cultural exchange and tourism; promoting and developing Yoga… contributing to deepening and enhancing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and India.
