On April 22, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed Decision No. 1077/QD-BVHTTDL recognizing Moc Chau as a National Tourist Area. This achievement was made possible not only through the efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels, but also through the significant contributions of businesses and cooperatives operating in the tourism sector.

In the two districts of Moc Chau and Van Ho, there are currently about 50 exemplary businesses and cooperatives operating in the tourism service sector. Working alongside the local Party committee and government in the development of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area, these units have actively developed new tourism products, focusing on strengths such as: eco-tourism and agricultural tourism; cultural and historical tourism; and experiential tourism; while improving service quality to ensure visitor satisfaction.
Driven by love and pride for the beauty of their homeland and a desire to attract more tourists to the Moc Chau plateau, over 10 years ago, Pha Luong Tourism Joint Stock Company was established, focusing on developing tourism products in the two districts of Moc Chau and Van Ho. Currently, the company manages and operates many attractive tourist areas and destinations, such as: Dai Yem Waterfall Tourist Area in Vat village, Muong Sang commune; Moc Chau Walking Street - Night Market in Moc Chau Farm Town; the 52nd Tay Tien Regiment Historical Site in Moc Chau town; and the "The Nordic Village" eco-tourism area located amidst the pine forest of Hua Tat village, Van Ho commune, Van Ho district.

Mr. Dinh Hong Phuc, Deputy Director of Pha Luong Tourism Joint Stock Company, informed: To develop Moc Chau National Tourist Area into an attractive destination for tourists, the company focuses on investing in infrastructure at tourist areas and sites; actively researching and creating new, unique, and attractive tourism products. They proactively link and cooperate with tourism and travel companies to create a tourism ecosystem and jointly develop tourism.
As one of the first tourist areas established on the Moc Chau plateau, Happy Land in Muong Sang commune is always proactive in innovating its tourism products to serve the needs of visitors. Spanning 5 hectares, Happy Land is located in a valley and is known as the most beautiful and diverse flower garden in Moc Chau. Here, visitors can experience the sheep farm, visit the local market, participate in games such as grass rolling, water rolling, and bumper balls; and capture beautiful images in the colorful flower gardens..., providing visitors with memorable experiences and moments.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Director of Happy Land Moc Chau Tourist Area, stated: "The tourist area is always actively innovating to create a lasting impression on visitors in each season. No matter when you visit, you will experience a different, fresh atmosphere, making it attractive and encouraging you to return, thus further drawing tourists to Happy Land Moc Chau in particular and the Moc Chau plateau in general."
In May 2022, Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, owned by 26 Moc Chau Tourism Joint Stock Company, officially commenced operations with the inauguration of the Bach Long Glass Bridge. Currently, Moc Chau Island has become a large-scale entertainment and resort complex in the Northwest region. Notably, the Bach Long Glass Bridge holds three world records, recognized by three prestigious international organizations: the world's longest cliffside walkway; the world's longest glass-bottom bridge; and the world's longest glass bridge, measuring 632 meters in length.

Along with the Bach Long Glass Bridge, Moc Chau Island Tourist Area is also famous as the most modern amusement park in the Northwest region, featuring first-of-its-kind attractions in the Northwest and Son La: Zipline, thrilling rainbow slides, and a mini F1 race track. In addition, there are activities such as exploring the "Sacred Bird Cave"; enjoying Northwest specialties at the 2,950m² Tabamboo bamboo restaurant; and relaxing at the train-shaped hotel and glamping area.
Mr. Mai Tri Tue, Deputy General Director of 26 Moc Chau Tourism Joint Stock Company, stated: Moc Chau Island aims to become a high-end tourist and resort area, closely linked to the responsibility of preserving nature and the environment – and safeguarding valuable cultural heritage. Through this, it will become a top ideal destination for all tourists who love experiences and seek moments of exhilaration in life.

With the goal of developing Moc Chau National Tourist Area into an attractive destination for tourists, the Party Committee and government of the province and the two districts of Moc Chau and Van Ho have led and directed the development of tourism, ensuring a harmonious balance of economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors; and balancing the interests of all stakeholders involved in tourism activities. This includes strengthening tourism management; planning and managing urban planning to ensure harmony with the environment and prevent disruption of natural landscapes; developing tourism infrastructure; and enhancing tourism promotion and marketing.
Mr. Le Trong Binh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Moc Chau District, said: Moc Chau District always facilitates procedures and documents for businesses to lease land and obtain land use right certificates. Meetings and dialogues are organized between the District People's Committee, relevant departments, and businesses to exchange information and promptly resolve obstacles and difficulties in the production and business activities of enterprises. As a result, the investment environment continues to improve, attracting more potential businesses to research and explore investment opportunities in the area.

With this approach, in recent years, Moc Chau and Van Ho districts have focused on attracting investment and effectively mobilizing resources to develop the Moc Chau National Tourist Area, including investment support from the State budget, capital mobilized from contributions of organizations, businesses, and domestic economic sectors... To date, the Moc Chau National Tourist Area has developed rapidly and sustainably with 324 accommodation establishments; 395 food and beverage establishments; and 58 shopping establishments serving tourists. The number of tourists visiting Moc Chau is increasing, with over 1.5 million visitors from the beginning of this year alone, generating over 1,500 billion VND in revenue from tourism services.

With the support of the business community, the potential and advantages of the plateau have been exploited to create attractive tourism products, contributing to the completion of the criteria and conditions of a national tourism area and promoting tourism development in the Moc Chau and Van Ho regions.
