The cooperative relationship between Sop Cop district and Muong Son, Muong Et and Phon Thoong districts has always been strengthened and developed. From 2020 to present, the functional forces of Sop Cop district have coordinated 11 bilateral patrols with Muong Et district, with 268 officers and soldiers participating; coordinated 5 bilateral patrols with Muong Son district, with 120 officers and soldiers participating; coordinated 6 bilateral patrols with Phon Thoong district, with 165 officers and soldiers participating.
Muong Lan and Nam Lanh Border Guard Stations, Sop Cop District, coordinated with the border forces of Muong Et and Muong Son Districts to control the exit of 515 people and 106 vehicles; entry of 647 people and 103 vehicles. Detected and detained 1 case, 1 subject who is a citizen of Muong Xum cluster, Muong Et District, Hua Phan Province for illegal drug trafficking.
In addition, Sop Cop district and neighboring districts have coordinated and implemented well the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the districts and border areas. Sop Cop district has supported each district with 50 million VND for neighboring districts to buy body temperature measuring machines, hand sanitizers, medical masks; and examined and treated 19 cases of patients from neighboring districts.
Sop Cop district leaders signed a memorandum of understanding with districts in Laos.
In an atmosphere of solidarity, the leaders of Sop Cop district and neighboring districts agreed to sign the 2023 Memorandum of Understanding with the following contents: Continue to promote propaganda and education for people in border areas about the Agreement on the Regulations on Border Management and National Border Gate of Vietnam - Laos; Protocol on the Vietnam - Laos Border Line and Border Markers; the guidelines, policies and guidelines of the Party and the laws of the two States on border work; regularly exchange information, strengthen coordination in patrolling and protecting the border line and border markers; prevent and promptly handle possible incidents, build a peaceful and friendly border.
