Attending the working session were Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Major General Nguyen Ngoc Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Police; and leaders of professional departments under the Ministry of Public Security.

Over the past period, the Provincial Police have thoroughly and effectively implemented all regulations and directives from the Central Government, the Ministry of Public Security, and the province regarding all aspects of their work; proactively advised on the issuance of the Provincial Party Standing Committee's Resolution and the Provincial People's Committee's Directive on ensuring security and order in 2024, as well as numerous documents to lead, direct, and summarize the work of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and combating crime, and building the nationwide movement to protect national security, transforming key and complex areas in terms of security and order, and building the People's Police force. They focused on force building; seriously and effectively implemented Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo and the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry. Political security remained stable and secure, with no unexpected incidents; crime and violations of the law were kept under control. Administrative management of social order continues to be strengthened.

The provincial police chief reported on the situation and results of the security and order maintenance work of the Son La Provincial Police.

From the beginning of the year until now, the Son La Police force has detected 82 cases of violations of social order and safety; investigated and clarified 80/82 cases, involving 199 individuals, recovering assets worth approximately 398 million VND; prosecuted 81 cases with 208 defendants, and handled 7 individuals administratively; detected 25 cases with 52 individuals, prosecuted 25 cases with 60 defendants related to economic management, corruption, and official misconduct; detected 5 cases with 14 high-tech crimes. They also detected and handled 639 cases with 828 individuals related to drugs, prosecuting 607 cases with 765 defendants.

Party building and force building have received focused guidance. Currently, 193 out of 197 communes have been planned and allocated land for the construction of police headquarters; 63 out of 197 commune and town police headquarters have been completed; 46 headquarters are under construction; and 166 investigators have been appointed and assigned to work in 147 out of 197 communes and towns.

The Provincial Party Secretary delivered a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested that the Son La Public Security force continue to advise on and effectively implement the resolutions and directives of the Central Government and the province on ensuring security and order. They should proactively prevent and deter potential threats to stability early and from afar, avoiding any passive or unexpected situations. They should advise the province on effectively implementing the Project "Transforming and building drug-free communes, wards, and towns in Son La province in the period 2023-2025, with a vision to 2030"; and accelerate the investigation and propose handling of key corruption cases that attract public attention. They should also continue to promote the implementation of Government Project 06; and focus on advising on the serious and effective implementation of the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level. Focus on advising and effectively implementing Resolution 12 of the Politburo in conjunction with the Project "Strengthening the building of a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern Son La Public Security force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation"...

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To acknowledged, commended, and congratulated the Son La Provincial Police on the achievements they have made in the past period. He requested that the Son La Provincial Police closely adhere to the resolutions of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the Minister's directives on the tasks for 2024, and the guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to supplement and concretize them into specific programs and plans to lead, direct, and organize the successful implementation of the security and order tasks set for 2024. He also urged them to effectively carry out Party building and force building work. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of effective communication and mass mobilization work to encourage broad public participation in ensuring security and order.
