In the past time, the Provincial Police have thoroughly grasped, deployed, organized and implemented fully, promptly and effectively the regulations and directions of the Central Government, the Ministry of Public Security and the province on all aspects of work; proactively advised on the issuance of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Directive of the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring security and order in 2024 and many documents to lead, direct, summarize and review the work of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and combating crimes and building a mass movement to protect national security, transforming key and complicated areas in terms of security and order and building the People's Public Security force. Focusing on force building; seriously and effectively implementing Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo and the Central Public Security Party Committee. The political security situation has been maintained and stable, without passivity or surprise; the crime situation and law violations have been controlled; Administrative management of social order continues to be strengthened.

Provincial Police leaders reported on the results of security and order work of Son La Provincial Police.

Since the beginning of the year, Son La police have detected 82 cases of social order and safety violations; investigated and clarified 80/82 cases, 199 subjects, recovered assets worth about 398 million VND; prosecuted 81 cases, 208 defendants, administratively handled 7 subjects; detected 25 cases, 52 subjects, prosecuted 25 cases, 60 defendants for economic management order, corruption and positions; detected 5 cases, 14 crimes using high technology. Detected and handled 639 cases, 828 subjects related to drugs, prosecuted 607 cases, 765 defendants.

Party building and force building have been given attention and direction. Currently, 193/197 communes have been planned and allocated land for headquarters construction; 63/197 commune and town police headquarters have been completed; 46 headquarters are under construction; 166 investigators have been appointed and assigned to work in 147/197 communes and towns.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested the Son La Police force to continue to advise, disseminate, and effectively implement the resolutions and directives of the Central and the province on ensuring security and order. Proactively prevent and stop risks of instability early and from afar, avoiding passiveness and surprise. Advise the province to effectively implement the Project "Transforming and building drug-free communes, wards, and towns in Son La province in the period of 2023 - 2025, with a vision to 2030"; speed up the investigation and propose handling of key corruption cases of public concern. Continue to promote the implementation of Project 06 of the Government; focus on advising on the serious and effective implementation of the Law on Forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level. Focus on advising on the effective implementation of Resolution 12 of the Politburo in conjunction with the Project "Promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern Son La Police force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation"...

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To acknowledged, commended and congratulated the results that Son La Provincial Police have achieved in the past time. He requested Son La Provincial Police to closely follow the resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Minister's directive on the tasks in 2024, the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee to supplement and concretize into specific programs and plans to lead, direct and organize the successful implementation of the task of ensuring security and order set out in 2024. Carry out well the work of Party building and force building. At the same time, do well the Party's communication and mass mobilization work to mobilize the participation of the masses in the work of ensuring security and order.
