Van Ho and Moc Chau are two districts located in Moc Chau National Tourist Area. Joyfully awaiting the announcement ceremony of the decision to recognize Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Van Ho district has prepared the conditions to organize the activities of the announcement ceremony, the highlight of which is the VTV Cup 2024 Mountain Bike Race.

Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, informed: The District People's Committee has directed specialized agencies to coordinate with relevant units to prepare well the contents of participating in activities within the framework of the announcement ceremony, such as: Attending the Tourism Promotion Conference, theme "Orientation for the development of green and sustainable Moc Chau National Tourist Area"; participating in displaying cultural spaces, introducing tourism products, OCOP and ethnic culinary spaces; organizing sightseeing and tourism experience activities in Van Ho; coordinating to organize the Vietnam Mountain Bike Race in Van Ho. At the same time, promoting propaganda, introducing and promoting the image of the land and people of Van Ho; introducing and promoting the potentials and strengths of tourism development of Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
The notable and attractive event within the framework of tourism promotion and advertising activities, and the ceremony to announce the decision to recognize Moc Chau National Tourist Area in Van Ho district, is the Mountain Bike Race, starting at 7:00 a.m. on May 19 at the district center.
The cycling race is an opportunity to promote and introduce to tourists the green tourism potential of Van Ho district; aiming to turn mountain biking into an experiential tourism product with its own local colors. Therefore, Van Ho district has coordinated to prepare the best conditions to successfully organize the cycling race, creating a good impression on the racers and tourists.
The forces of the Van Ho District Cultural - Communication Center replace the flag in the district administrative center area.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Cycling Federation, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, informed: We have surveyed and designed a beautiful racing route with moderate difficulty to attract both professional and amateur athletes to participate. The racing route: Starting and finishing in front of the Van Ho District People's Committee gate, the racing route will go through the district's locations with a distance of 11.4 km/lap, through the vast green tea fields, ethnic minority villages, peaceful scenery and fresh air, promising to bring the racers an interesting experience.
The race attracted 268 registered athletes. Of these, 218 were amateur athletes from more than 40 cycling clubs nationwide and 50 were professional athletes from sports delegations from 7 provinces and cities nationwide, many of whom had participated in the Seagames and international tournaments and achieved high rankings. The amateur event had 4 competitions for different age groups; the professional event did not specify any age group.
Currently, many racers have arrived at Van Ho to familiarize themselves with the race track. Excited before the race day, athlete Dinh Thi Nhu Quynh, from Hoa Binh, shared: I compete in the professional category. I have practiced, trained my health, checked my bike carefully and tested the race track to have a reasonable strategy in the hope of achieving high results. I have been to Moc Chau and Van Ho many times, experienced the beautiful scenery, and was very impressed with the friendly people. This time, participating in the mountain bike race in a beautiful setting, with fresh air, will certainly be an interesting thing waiting for us.
Workers of the Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company Branch in Van Ho district clean the environment in the central area of the district.
In recent years, Van Ho district has coordinated to organize sports racing competitions, such as: Vietnam Off-Road Motorcycle Racing 2022 in Chieng Khoa commune; Off-Road Motorcycle Racing - VTV Cup Off Road 2023 in Van Ho commune, attracting a large number of domestic and international racers to participate. Therefore, the district has experience in organizing professional and methodical sports racing competitions.

Ms. Mui Thi Thiep, Vice Chairwoman of Van Ho Commune People's Committee, said: The race track follows a trail through 4 villages and sub-areas of the commune, including: Sao Do 1 sub-area, Sao Do 2 sub-area, Pa Che village, Hang Trung I and Hang Trung II villages. The Commune People's Committee has promoted and mobilized people to create conditions for the Organizing Committee to design the race track, mobilized people from the villages and sub-areas to clean up and hang flags at the race routes.
Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, Director of Son La Province Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company Branch in Van Ho District, said: The unit has focused on human resources and means to carry out environmental sanitation work, build public toilets, ensure a green, clean, and beautiful urban landscape, focusing on routes along National Highway 6 and the roads in the district's administrative and political center.
It is expected that during the event, the number of tourists to Van Ho will increase. The district pays attention to medical care and security work. The district has directed hotels, motels, accommodation establishments, and tourist attractions in the area to prepare facilities, security, fire prevention and fighting, ensure environmental sanitation and necessary conditions to welcome tourists; strengthen inspection of organizations and individuals doing business in cultural and tourism services...
Located right next to Highway 6, A Chu homestay, Hua Tat village, Van Ho commune is an attractive community tourism destination in the journey to experience Moc Chau National Tourist Area with the unique cultural space of the Mong ethnic group. Mr. Trang A Chu, owner of A Chu homestay, shared: We, the tourism service providers, are very happy to organize the Ceremony to announce the recognition of Moc Chau National Tourist Area, this is an opportunity to develop tourism and increase income for households. A Chu homestay has 10 private rooms and two communal stilt houses with a capacity of about 60 guests/day, currently all rooms are fully booked. Our family, along with the community tourism households of the village, have renovated the rooms, prepared food and have been inspected for hygiene and safety by the District Health Center to serve tourists.

Van Ho is ready and well prepared for the important event, contributing to the success of the Ceremony to announce the decision to recognize Moc Chau National Tourist Area. Hopefully, Van Ho district tourism will have a stronger breakthrough, effectively exploiting the potential of local tourism to promote socio-economic development.
