Organizing familiarization trips (Famtrips) to survey and evaluate destinations is an annual activity of the Son La Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. This initiative aims to strengthen connections between national tourism businesses and travel agencies with local tourism service providers. Through these trips, Son La can showcase its tourism products, especially attractive and potential destinations, attracting tourists and encouraging travel agencies to assess and develop new tours, routes, and tourism products. Moreover, through these surveys, professional tourism practitioners can share valuable experiences, helping Son La's tourism services become increasingly sophisticated and meet the diverse needs and preferences of tourists.

The delegation visited and surveyed The Nordic Village tourist destination in Van Ho district.
Mr. Phung Xuan Khanh, Director of Tien Phong Tourism Services Company Limited and Head of the Promotion Board of the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club, stated: At the invitation of Son La Province to survey destinations in Moc Chau National Tourist Area, the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club has organized a survey trip with members who are tourism businesses with extensive experience in developing and organizing tours. Through this trip, travel agencies can have practical experiences and make objective assessments, thereby providing suggestions for local tourism businesses and collaborating to develop new tours in the future.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of Dynamic Travel, said: "Recently, Dynamic Travel has organized tours to bring tourists to experience Moc Chau, especially during the flower seasons and summer. However, the activities have not been diverse enough. After this survey, we will have more new ideas to build tours with more diverse activities, connecting with attractive destinations in the Moc Chau National Tourist Area or linking with local cultural and tourism events to enhance the experience and create appeal for tourists on each trip."

The Famtrip delegation worked with Moc Suong Tea Company in Moc Chau district.
The field trip to destinations associated with the event in Moc Chau National Tourist Area helped travel agencies gain a deeper understanding of the types of services offered in the national tourist area, previously little-known destinations, the pristine and majestic beauty of nature, and the appeal of the local culture and people.
Ms. Hoang Xuan Dung from Aseanland Travel shared: "Moc Chau National Tourist Area has many attractive destinations, especially its pristine natural beauty, fresh climate, and many local products, which meet the criteria for selecting destinations for our company. Through this survey trip, we want to learn about new tourism products here to develop suitable tours for foreign tourists."

Survey at Dai Yem Waterfall Tourist Area, Moc Chau District
Through this survey, travel companies gained an overall assessment of the tourism development potential and the quality of tourism services, especially in areas such as food, entertainment, experiences, and shopping. This allowed them to develop specific strategies for coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, local authorities, and tourism businesses to create suitable tour packages that effectively exploit the existing potential and advantages of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
Organizing Famtrip tours to survey and evaluate tourist destinations is one of the practical initiatives organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province to promote and develop tourism in the Moc Chau National Tourist Area in particular, and Son La province in general. Besides sharing valuable experiences in developing tours and routes, travel agencies will be an effective connecting force to promote tourism development in a green, rapid, and sustainable direction.
