Mr. Ha Nhu Hue, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Sơn La Province, stated that digital transformation and the application of technology in agriculture will reduce costs and allow for better monitoring of crop and livestock growth. At the same time, promoting products through digital platforms will lead to broader and more effective consumption.

In recent years, thanks to the application of science and technology in hybridization as well as organic care, in recent years, the longan gardens of the members of Trung Dung Agricultural Cooperative have always achieved good productivity and quality, no longer having the situation of one year's harvest being good and another year's loss as before. The introduction of products for consumption has also been initially used by members through social networking platforms such as Zalo and Facebook.

In the livestock sector, the new concentrated goat farming model has been applied in Song Ma district. Barns, feed, automatic water systems and even surveillance cameras have also been invested in quite a large and methodical scale.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Linh, Director of Toan Phat Cooperative, Song Ma District, said that the cooperative is applying science and technology as well as digital technology to livestock production. Accordingly, the cooperative has saved labor and increased labor productivity to create products of higher value.

With support and development incentive policies, in recent years, cooperatives in Song Ma district have actively applied science and technology to production, transforming the district's agricultural production from fragmented and small-scale to high-tech application, according to VietGAP standards.

Currently, the district has more than 10,700 hectares of fruit trees, with an output of over 98,400 tons/year, domestic consumption of over 65,500 tons, the rest is for export. There are 48 longan growing area codes, with more than 481 hectares, output of 4,800 tons; 50 cooperatives and one company producing safe fruit according to VietGAP process; 50 linked chains.

Son La has more than 200 out of 665 agricultural service cooperatives applying high technology and creating sustainable agricultural, forestry and fishery chains. The application of digital technology to bring products to e-commerce platforms is also being actively implemented. However, most households and cooperatives are facing difficulties for various reasons.

Muong Tac Agricultural Service Cooperative, Phu Yen District is a typical unit in applying high technology. The cooperative has 16 members growing vegetables and fruits on a scale of 4.8 hectares, of which 4.7 hectares are certified to VietGAP standards.

The cooperative has invested in a large-scale agricultural production equipment system including 4 greenhouses, 1 net house on an area of ​​4,800 m2 and a sun-blocking net system, lighting system, cooling fan system in the greenhouse, soil cover film, and application of smart agricultural management software in the production process.

100% of the cooperative's vegetables and fruits are labeled with traceability labels when they are put on the market. With just a smartphone, consumers can easily find out information about the products. The cooperative's products have been introduced to some supermarkets in Hanoi.

Digital technology has been replacing many daily tasks for Son La farmers, the digital agricultural diary is an indispensable handbook for every farming household in their work. Not only that, many cooperatives have now begun to calculate the application of artificial intelligence AI in the production process of agricultural products.

Digital transformation has been positively impacting current production and business activities, from applying technology in production to replacing human labor, contributing to transforming the production and business management model in the cooperative economic sector in a flexible, appropriate, highly effective way, reducing costs and optimizing resources.

In the coming time, Son La province will continue to promote agricultural restructuring towards building high-tech agriculture and large-scale commodity production. Develop smart, circular, internationally integrated agriculture, adapt to climate change, increase added value and sustainable development associated with new rural construction.
