Cooperatives have proactively linked production, actively participated in trade promotion activities, product consumption; invested in production towards high-tech application, organic production, gradually increasing the value of products in the area. The whole district currently has 1,119 hectares certified by VietGAP, of which fruit trees are over 1,029 hectares; industrial crops are 80 hectares; vegetables are 11.1 hectares. Maintain and develop 48 safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains. Agricultural production activities, development of advantageous fruit tree areas are focused on commodity production, applying high technology to production and forming linkage chains in agricultural production.

On August 7, 2024, the People's Committee of Son La province decided to recognize the High-tech Coffee Production Area in Chieng Chung commune, Chieng Ban commune, Mai Son district with 679 households participating in the association, with an area of ​​over 368 hectares, bringing the total number of high-tech agricultural areas in the district to 4, with a total area of ​​nearly 1,742 hectares, 2,405 households participating in the production association of high-tech agricultural areas for coffee and custard apple.

In addition, the district also develops production and consumption chains for coffee, sugarcane, corn seeds, cassava, sweet corn, soybeans, vegetables, etc., associated with processing factories. Mai Son district strives to have 5,400 hectares of fruit trees produced using high technology by 2025; 2,700 hectares of fruit trees produced using organic methods./.
