As you wander along the trails in the villages, winding along the mountain slopes from one village to another, you'll admire the cornfields and terraced rice paddies, their golden hues a breathtaking sight. A Phu Cave
Located about 4km from the center of Hong Ngai commune, A Phu Cave is the most prominent destination you can't miss. This place not only holds historical but also cultural value, inspiring many writers, poets, and musicians to compose novels and love songs deeply rooted in the Mong ethnic identity of Bac Yen district, such as "A Phu's Wife and Husband" by writer To Hoai; and the song "Song on the Mountain" by musician Nguyen Van Thuong…
A Phu Cave, also known as Tham Cop Cave, means "Frog" in the Thai ethnic language, because the eastern side of the cave resembles the mouth of a frog snapping at its prey. The cave is located in a mountain range, surrounded by primeval forest. In front of the cave are vast, verdant fields stretching as far as the eye can see. Inside the cave, you can easily find perfectly round pebbles, black rocks with artistic patterns that shimmer like gold, or stalactites sparkling with gold dust. A stream flows along the cave floor from west to east, its water clear and cool. It truly is a unique and majestic natural landscape.
