The 2024 Ngoc Chien commune new rice festival includes a ceremony and a festival. The ceremony includes a new rice offering ceremony at Don Ho Church, Muong Chien village; Sa Mu tree god church, Na Tau village. This is the 7th year that the New Rice Festival of Ngoc Chien commune has been held during the rice harvest season in late August and early September, aiming to restore, preserve, maintain and promote the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups; encourage the people's spirit to build a cultural life, expand the specialized sticky rice growing area. At the same time, promote and introduce the potential and cultural identity of ethnic groups in Muong La district in general and the unique culture of Ngoc Chien commune people in particular, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to experience, enjoy, find investment opportunities, exchange, cooperate, develop and integrate deeply.
