On August 30, the Provincial Border Guard Command held a closing ceremony for a training course on national border management and protection for officers of the Luang Prabang Provincial Military Command (Lao PDR).
During the 30 days, students studied topics according to the program of the Border Guard Command, including: History of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos; some common perceptions of national border territories; Agreement on border management regulations and border gates on land between Vietnam and Laos; plots and tricks of hostile, reactionary forces, and bandits against Vietnam and Laos; border patrol and use of maps to determine the border; work on mobilizing the masses to protect the border, border control, border reconnaissance, logistics support in border protection and technical support in border protection; training and testing of K54 pistol shooting lesson 1.
Colonel Nguyen Dinh Huan, Commander of Son La Provincial Border Guard, presented certificates of merit to individuals with achievements in the training.
At the end of the course, 100% of the students were eligible for certificates according to regulations, of which 6 comrades were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Border Guard Command for their outstanding achievements.
