On August 30th, the Provincial Border Guard Command held the closing ceremony of the training course on national border management and protection for officers of the Luang Prabang Provincial Military Command (Lao People's Democratic Republic).
Over 30 days, the trainees studied topics according to the program of the Border Guard Command, including: the history of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos; some common understandings of national border territories; the Agreement on the management regime of the border and land border gates between Vietnam and Laos; the schemes and tactics of hostile and reactionary forces and bandit activities against Vietnam and Laos; border patrol and protection work and the use of maps to determine the border line; work on mobilizing the masses to protect the border, border control, border reconnaissance, logistics support in border protection and technical support in border protection; and training and testing in firing the K54 pistol (lesson 1).
Colonel Nguyen Dinh Huan, Commander of the Son La Provincial Border Guard, presented certificates of commendation to individuals who achieved outstanding results in the training.
At the end of the course, 100% of the trainees met the requirements for certification, and six comrades received commendations from the Provincial Border Guard Command for their outstanding achievements.
