Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh emphasized that in recent years, digital transformation in the province has been deployed and implemented, initially making positive contributions to the overall development of the province. The province has focused on implementing well the work of disseminating, transforming awareness and improving the quality of human resources, creating a foundation for digital transformation. There has been a fundamental change in the thinking, awareness and actions of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees in the entire political system, of the business community and the people in the province with the desire to catch up with the trend and grasp and take advantage of the opportunities brought by the fourth industrial revolution.

However, the province's digital transformation process has not met development requirements and has revealed some limitations due to objective and subjective reasons such as: There is no centralized and consistent direction on digital transformation from a number of Party committees and organizations. The team of cadres and civil servants working on digital transformation is still lacking and weak, making it difficult to attract high-quality human resources. The level of information technology application and digital skills of the people is still limited. Connection, sharing and integration of data between agencies is still limited. He suggested that delegates attending the workshop should conduct comprehensive research and analysis, give focused opinions, and comprehensively and objectively assess the current situation of results, limitations, advantages, difficulties and causes in Digital Transformation in the past time in the whole province; focusing on the requirement of strongly transforming awareness and developing and improving the quality of human resources, thereby drawing lessons for proposing policies and solutions for implementation in the coming time.

These will be basic scientific and practical solutions of great importance in leading and directing the improvement of the quality of awareness transformation and human resource development to create the foundation for digital transformation in Son La province by the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, the political system from the province to the grassroots level, and the participation of the people in digital transformation work in the province.
