On the night of August 31st, at Chieng Di 2 village, Van Ho commune, the People's Committee of Van Ho district, in coordination with Son La College, organized the Final Round of the first "Van Ho District Tourism Ambassador" Contest in 2024.
The contestant introduced the traditional craft of spinning flax and weaving fabric practiced by the Hmong people.
Following the preliminary round, the organizing committee selected 12 finalists: students from Van Ho studying at the Faculty of Culture and Tourism, Son La College; and representatives from businesses, cooperatives, and tourism service providers in Van Ho district.

The contestants participated in two parts of the competition: cultural and artistic talent serving tourism; and tourism presentation. In the presentation part, the contestants introduced to the people and tourists the traditional cultural features of various ethnic groups; typical community tourism villages such as: Buot, Na Bai, Phu Mau villages in Chieng Yen commune; Hua Tat, Chieng Di villages in Van Ho commune; attractive tourist destinations such as Tat Nang Waterfall, hot springs in Chieng Yen commune; the system of waterfalls in Chieng Khoa commune... In the talent part, the contestants showcased their talents through traditional dances of the Mong, Dao, and Muong ethnic groups, and heartfelt songs, which were watched and cheered by a large audience of people and tourists.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to contestant Giàng A Lứ from Chiềng Đi 2 village, Vân Hồ commune, who is currently a student at Sơn La College; two second prizes, three third prizes, and six consolation prizes were also awarded to the winning contestants.
