(vtv.vn) - With the theme "Moc Chau - The Call of the Season of Love," the event attracted many tourists from inside and outside the province, and was especially meaningful on the occasion of the National Independence Day.
Culture and Tourism Week 2024:"Moc Chau - The Call of the Season of Love"Taking place from August 28th to September 4th, the event is an opportunity to showcase and highlight the beauty of culture and sports, linked to promoting tourism development; and to introduce the beauty of Moc Chau's land and people. In particular, the event is organized to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2nd, 1945 - September 2nd, 2024) and the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of Moc Chau District (November 20th, 1952 - November 20th, 2024).
The week-long event includes two main activities:
- Announcement of Type IV urban status; Announcement ceremony for the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage for 03 heritages: "Rain Prayer Festival" of the White Thai people, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district; Decorative art on costumes of the Dao Tien people; Mo Muong ritual of the Muong ethnic group.
- Introducing the unique cultural features of the ethnic groups in Moc Chau district, Son La province; showcasing the region's top-ranked natural destinations through the seasons "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter"; honoring national intangible cultural heritage; and sharing the emotions and love stories of the young men and women of the ethnic groups in Moc Chau.
Immediately after the opening ceremony this morning, September 1st, visitors were immersed in the unique cultural space of various ethnic groups with many activities such as: experiencing the culinary culture of different ethnic groups, community cultural performances; performances of Mong ethnic folk art; exhibitions of beautiful photos, traditional games like stick pushing, Xoe dance, Tu Lu game, rice cake pounding, and throwing the ball... Through this event, Moc Chau has attracted a large number of locals and tourists to experience, appreciate, and love this top-ranked natural destination in the world even more.
