(Song Ma) On July 12, 2023 in Song Ma district, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Son La Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Song Ma district to organize a training conference to enhance skills in selling OCOP products through digital media for rural youth and a Digital Transformation Forum in promoting OCOP products for youth with the theme "Exploiting the potential of the digital economy in promoting OCOP products" in 2023 in Son La province.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union; comrade Nguyen Minh Tien - Director of the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; comrade Trang Thi Xuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Cam Thi Huyen Trang - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Youth Union, Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Song Ma District Party Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions of Son La province; Song Ma district and tiktokers who successfully sold products on Tiktok and delegates from cooperatives, youth cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises, production and business households, OCOP subjects and union members and youth of Song Ma district.
Previously, on August 11, TikTokers had a field trip to Bao Minh Agricultural Service Cooperative and Hoa Muoi Agricultural Service Cooperative, Chieng Khoong Commune, Song Ma District. These are 2 of many cooperatives producing fresh longan and longan products in Song Ma District. Here, TikTokers created short videos telling stories about farmers, images of cuisine, and typical agricultural products of the region to introduce and promote OCOP products, fresh longan products, Song Ma longan and agricultural products of Song Ma District and Son La Province through modern and creative communication methods.
In recent years, high-tech agricultural production has been directed and implemented by Son La province. Currently, the province has 110 OCOP products, typically products such as: pure ground coffee, coffee husk tea; dried plums, oily fish, Trong Nguyen tea, dried plum products, Xay Green Tea, dried crispy persimmons and many other agricultural products. Song Ma is a district with a large fruit growing area of nearly 11 thousand hectares of fruit trees. Of which, longan is the main fruit tree with an area of about 7,500 hectares, output reaching 80 thousand tons. Currently, there are 816 hectares, output of 9,779 tons produced according to VietGAP process at 47 cooperatives with 46 export growing area codes with a total area of nearly 500 hectares. In Song Ma district, there are 3 OCOP products including: Dried Mango product of Toan Thang Cooperative with 3 stars, Smoked Buffalo meat of Mr. Le Duc Anh's family with 3 stars, and Quyet Thang Honey with 4 stars.
In the program "Training conference to enhance skills in selling OCOP products through digital media for rural youth", union members, youth, cooperatives, OCOP entities and people were trained in skills in promoting, introducing and selling agricultural products and OCOP products on social e-commerce platforms.
TikTokers also conducted Livestreams to introduce and promote OCOP products, fresh lychee products, Song Ma longan and agricultural products of Son La province on the Tiktok platform. The 4-hour livestream session "OCOP - Son La - Back to the agricultural products market" held on the morning of August 12 in Song Ma district attracted more than 20 million views and more than 570,000 views. Of which, 5 tons of Song Ma longan and 2,350 agricultural product orders were sold, bringing in nearly 470 million VND in revenue.
Within the framework of the Digital Transformation Forum in Youth Communication and Promotion of OCOP Products with the content "Exploiting the potential of the digital economy in promoting OCOP products", delegates shared about exploiting the potential of the digital economy in developing, promoting and consuming OCOP products from speakers from state agencies, representatives of e-commerce platforms, sellers on TikTok focusing on discussing the content of exploiting the potential of the digital economy in developing, promoting and consuming OCOP products; Digital economy from the perspective of e-commerce; Promoting indigenous resources in digital space.

Along with that, the forum attracted lively exchanges and discussions, the issues that were of interest, raised questions and answered the most included: Where and how to start livestreaming sales; how to manage product quality when doing business on digital platforms like TikTok; how to censor OCOP products when listed on the market to ensure fairness and accuracy; what support will Son La province have in the coming time for promoting e-commerce for OCOP products and agricultural products; What strategies does the Rural Youth Committee, Central Youth Union have for developing or supporting rural youth in doing e-commerce? These were also promptly answered by experts.
Mr. Hoang Manh Doan - Deputy Director of Song Ma Honey Bee Farming Cooperative, Son La:“Previously, our cooperative produced honey and sold it to regular customers, so the number of customers was very fixed and not many people knew about it. In recent years, thanks to the digital platform, we have promoted and sold products on our personal Facebook channel, so customers from all over the country know about our products and the number of products sold on the digital platform is relatively high, so we are also looking forward to having a better promotion channel so that we can sell products on the digital platform.”Mr. Doan's wish is also the expectation of the people of Song Ma district in particular, and the people of Son La province in general, regarding Digital Transformation in agricultural production, especially in product consumption, to contribute to solving the difficult problem of "Good harvest, low price" that has lasted for a long time.

It is believed that through the Training Workshop on Enhancing the Skills of Selling OCOP Products via Digital Platforms for Rural Youth and the Digital Transformation Forum in Communicating and Promoting Youth OCOP Products with the theme "Exploiting the Potential of the Digital Economy in Promoting OCOP Products" in 2023, the stakeholders, agricultural cooperatives, and youth of Song Ma District, Son La Province will be able to exploit the available potential in the locality to continue transforming on the journey of Digital Transformation, contributing to increasing the value of products and developing the local economy.
