Long Sap is a border commune located about 30 km from the center of Moc Chau district, with a national border gate with Laos. For a long time, the Long Sap border gate has been a center for trade, exchange, and commerce between ethnic groups on both sides of the border, especially between the people of Moc Chau district and Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. Every year on September 2nd, the people of both countries celebrate Vietnam's National Day with many attractive activities.
From early morning, dressed in their finest, most colorful attire, locals and tourists from all over flocked to the Long Sap border gate stadium. For everyone, celebrating Independence Day in this remote border region always leaves an unforgettable impression.
Ms. THAO THI DONG - Moc Chau, Son La:I felt very nervous and a little shaky because there were so many people here. I saw many different outfits – Thai, Hmong, and Kinh people – so it was a lot of fun.
Ms. Vu Thi Nhu - Song Ma, Son La:As for me, I feel very happy and excited because this is my first time here. I'm also very proud of my people because this is a very joyful and traditional holiday for my nation, so I feel very proud, happy, and excited.
