Long Sap border gate (Moc Chau, Son La) has long been a center for trading, exchanging and exchanging goods between ethnic groups on both sides of the Vietnam - Laos border. In particular, every year on September 2, people of the two countries celebrate Vietnam's National Day with many exciting activities in the border area.
Border people celebrate National Day
Long Sap is a border commune about 30km from the center of Moc Chau district, with a national border gate with Laos. In the atmosphere where people everywhere are jubilantly celebrating the country's National Day, in a very special space, the people of Laos and the people of Moc Chau ethnic groups, along with many tourists, gathered at the Long Sap national border gate to celebrate Vietnam's Independence Day.
Since the success of the August Revolution in 1945, the people of Moc Chau ethnic groups have enthusiastically organized activities to celebrate each National Day, gathering to dance, sing and play exciting folk games.

Mr. Luu Van Dung, a tourist from Hai Phong, shared: I found the atmosphere of National Day at the border very exciting. The air was very cool, the people were very friendly and cheerful. It was ideal for tourists to visit. The ethnic groups in the border area, each ethnic group has different cultural characteristics, creating different discoveries, so I really like the Northwest.
The Independence Day at the border was organized by Moc Chau district with many rich activities such as: national sports competitions, folk games, cultural exchanges with many unique performances, imbued with the cultural identity of the ethnic groups. In particular, the graceful dances of Lao girls made the program more attractive. Showing the close affection of the two peoples when the neighboring country also enthusiastically celebrated Vietnam's National Day.

I also feel very happy to participate in the activities celebrating the National Day of my friends. Cultural exchange activities like this also help strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two peoples and two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

Strengthening solidarity among ethnic groups in border areas
Long Sap National Border Gate has long been a center for trading, exchanging and exchanging goods between ethnic groups on both sides of the border, especially between the people of Moc Chau district, Son La province and Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao PDR. In order for people of the two countries to exchange and strengthen the solidarity between the two countries and ethnic groups, Long Sap Border Guard Station also has plans to ensure the safety of people participating in the Independence Day celebration.

Major Cam Ba Thanh, Deputy Political Commissar of Long Sap Border Guard Station, Moc Chau District, Son La Province, said: To strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the people on both sides of the border, implementing the direction of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Standing Committee of Moc Chau District Party Committee, Border Guard Station, and Customs Station have created conditions for people to cross the border to exchange and participate in activities celebrating National Day. On that basis, the unit also developed plans and established working groups to grasp the situation of border protection so that people can participate in activities happily and absolutely safely.
The sacred and proud National Day of the Vietnamese people is also the joy of the people of the neighboring country. It is a clear manifestation of the solidarity, cooperation and friendship between the two countries and the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos, which has been continuously nurtured by the people of the two countries for over 60 years.
