The Son La Provincial People's Council has just issued a resolution allowing the conversion of 5,400 square meters of rice land and 5,000 square meters of protective forest land in Phieng Luong commune (Moc Chau district) for the implementation of the compensation, support, and resettlement project for land clearance in Moc Chau district (part of the investment project to build the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway, the section passing through Son La province).
This resolution was adopted by the Son La Provincial People's Council, 15th term, 22nd special session (held at the end of August 2024) and has come into effect.
The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway section passing through Son La province is approximately 32.3km long, starting at km 53 in Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district, and ending at km 85+300 intersecting with National Highway 43 in Phieng Luong commune, Moc Chau district.
The land clearance length is approximately 34.4km, with the investment phase based on a 2-lane scale, and the land clearance area for a 4-lane scale. The total investment is approximately 4,938 billion VND from the State budget, with implementation from 2023 to 2028.
The People's Committee of Son La province has been assigned as the managing agency for the investment project to build the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway, specifically the section within the province.
