(laodong.vn) - Son La province has just changed the purpose of using more than 10,000m2 of rice fields and protective forest land to implement the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project.

The People's Council of Son La province has just issued a resolution on allowing the change of use purpose of 5,400m2 of rice land and 5,000m2 of protective forest land in Phieng Luong commune (Moc Chau district) to implement the project of compensation, support, resettlement and site clearance in Moc Chau district (part of the investment project to build the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway, section through Son La province).
This Resolution was approved by the 15th People's Council of Son La province, 22nd Special Session (held at the end of August 2024) and has come into effect.
The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway section through Son La province is about 32.3km long, starting at km 53 in Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district and ending at km 85+300 intersecting with National Highway 43 in Phieng Luong commune, Moc Chau district.
The length of land clearance is about 34.4km, the investment phase is divided into 2 lanes, the land clearance scope is 4 lanes. The total investment is about 4,938 billion VND from the State budget, the implementation period is from 2023 to 2028.
Son La Provincial People's Committee was assigned as the managing agency of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Construction Investment Project, the section within the province.
