On the evening of September 3rd, the 31st World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania 2024 ceremony took place in Manila, Philippines. Moc Chau National Tourist Area in Son La province was honored for the third time as "Asia's Leading Natural Destination 2024".
The World Travel Awards (WTA) is a prestigious award recognized worldwide and considered the "Oscars of the tourism industry." Held annually, it honors outstanding destinations and high-quality tourism service providers. Vietnam is proud to have received three awards: "Asia's Leading Destination 2024," "Asia's Leading Heritage Destination 2024," and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination 2024." Notably, Moc Chau National Tourist Area – the green gem of Northwest Vietnam – has won the "Asia's Leading Regional Nature Destination" award for the third consecutive year. This award provides an opportunity and a foundation for Moc Chau, Son La province, to be nominated for the World's Leading Regional Nature Destination award in 2024. It also demonstrates the strong appeal of the Moc Chau tourism brand on the world tourism map, receiving the affection of numerous international friends and partners.
