In the 2024-2025 academic year, Son La Specialized High School will have 96 administrators and teachers; 33 classes, with 1,137 students. With the theme: “Unity, discipline, creativity, continued innovation, and improvement of the quality of education and training,” the school's teachers and students will actively compete in teaching and learning excellence; promote extracurricular activities to educate life skills; and encourage teachers and students to participate in science and technology research competitions and other competitions organized by various levels and sectors to improve the quality of advanced education and achieve high results. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the school will have 1,149 students. The school's administrators and teachers are determined to effectively implement the emulation movement, contributing to the successful completion of the academic year's tasks.

To successfully achieve the goals and tasks of the 2024-2025 school year, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province requested the Board of Directors of Son La Specialized High School to focus on leading and directing the implementation of several key areas: As a specialized, key, and high-quality school of the province, tasked with nurturing and training talented individuals, the school's management staff needs to effectively implement the advanced education program as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and access international education programs; research and apply appropriate and effective educational programs and advanced management, teaching, testing, and evaluation methods; proactively cooperate with educational and training institutions and scientific research institutions both domestically and internationally to improve the quality of education; and take the lead in applying information technology in management and teaching… to achieve breakthroughs in the province's digital transformation ranking in education. Besides teaching academic subjects, the school needs to focus on training students in life skills, social skills, fostering patriotism and national pride, and teaching them to love and care for others.

The school also awarded prizes to 24 students who won Gold and Silver medals in the Regional Excellent Student Competition for the Coastal and Northern Delta regions and the Hung Vuong Summer Camp; one student who won a Silver medal at the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival; honored the top-scoring student in grade 10; and launched the emulation movement for the 2024-2025 school year.
