In the Phiêng Hay area of Chiềng Xôm commune, representatives from Hữu Hảo Tây Bắc One-Member Limited Company provided a quick report on the damage caused by the heavy rains in July. Currently, the water level in the area has completely receded; however, mud and silt are still filling the three main drainage cave entrances. To cope with the heavy rains caused by the remnants of Typhoon No. 3, Comrade Đặng Ngọc Hậu requested the Sơn La City People's Committee to urgently submit a document to the Provincial People's Committee requesting permission to use explosives and implement dredging measures to clear the cave entrances.

He also instructed the Bom Bay sluice gate operation team to open all water discharge gates to the maximum extent to prevent flooding in Chieng Xom commune when floodwaters arrive.
At Bản Mòng reservoir in Hua La commune, the Son La Irrigation Works Management and Exploitation Company Limited opened the bottom sluice gates on September 6th, lowering the water level to mitigate flooding in Son La city as a large volume of water flowed in. As of 10:00 AM on September 7th, the reservoir held 9 out of 13 million cubic meters of water.3water; water inflow into the lake is 9m3/s, discharge flow rate 15m3On September 7th, the reservoir continued to decrease in volume by approximately 800,000 - 1,000,000 m³.3.
