(tcdulichtphcm.vn) - Traveling to Moc Chau, tourists are excited to experience pounding rice cakes with the H'Mong people in the village. Although tired from pounding cakes, when enjoying the soft, fragrant cakes pounded by the tourists themselves, everyone is even more excited.
See the vast grasslands, the immense corn fields...
Located about 200km from Hanoi, Moc Chau is one of the ideal destinations for those who love to explore and experience indigenous culture. This locality in Son La province is also famous for its majestic natural scenery and fresh climate.
In addition to admiring the beauty of flowers, visitors can also learn about the life and cultural beauty of ethnic minorities such as Thai, H'Mong... through traditional villages. Coming to Moc Chau, visitors not only immerse themselves in the fresh nature, but also have the opportunity to enjoy local specialties.
Immerse yourself in the poetic natural space.
Loving the scenery of Moc Chau, a group of friends from the "Going Away" team spent 2 days and 1 night visiting here.
“September is a wonderful time to travel to Moc Chau. At this time, the sky is blue, the sun is golden, the clouds are white, the “primitive village” is peaceful, the rose gardens are full of fruit, the buckwheat flower hills stretch far and wide…”, shared the representative of the “Going Away” team.
Then, the days in Moc Chau made the group of friends extremely satisfied with the trip. Moc Chau in September appears beautiful in the eyes of tourists, a great place to escape the heat with green grass, trees, and hills.
“Not only that, the owner and staff of the homestay we stayed at were very attentive and enthusiastic. The people at the places we stopped to buy gifts or the people in the “primitive village” we met were all very enthusiastic, hospitable, and friendly…”, the “Going Away” team expressed.
Tourists love the fresh air.
Visiting many places in Moc Chau, this group of friends was especially impressed with the "Primitive Village" Hang Tau. The road to the village is quite difficult to travel. The road has many steep slopes, many dirty, rainy, slippery roads..., but in return the scenery on both sides of the road is very beautiful. There are vast grasslands, immense corn fields, plum hills and a few small, peaceful wooden houses on the grass...
Entering the village, there is no phone signal or wifi, making visitors feel like they are "lost" in another world.
In a peaceful, quiet and vibrant space, this group of tourists were engrossed in playing with the children. Together they played soccer, waded in water, chased pigs, rode horses, caught ducks…
According to the members of the “Going Away” team, this trip helped them have more joy in life, bringing a lot of positive energy to the group of friends. Moc Chau is green, gentle, peaceful, and poetic. “We hope that Moc Chau tourism will develop further because this place is worthy for young people who love to travel to choose to visit and relax”, the “Going Away” team expressed.
Enjoy the experience of pounding rice cake
Talking about this trip, they said that at 5am, they took the bus from Hanoi to Moc Chau. On the bus, they took a nap to recharge their bodies, preparing for the days of exploring the beauty of Moc Chau.
Arriving at the destination, tourists move to Nang Tien waterfall, then have lunch in the waterfall, experience bathing in the waterfall. In the cool water, tourists enjoy soaking in the clear blue water. Everyone relaxes their bodies, bringing a feeling of comfort throughout the body.
Experience picking roses right in the garden.
In the afternoon, they moved together to the crispy rose garden in Na Ka to take pictures and experience picking roses right in the garden. Visitors also went to Mer Coffee shop with a view of green tea hills to watch the sunset.
After that, the group of tourists returned to the homestay to check in, had a Northwestern hotpot dinner and lit a fire to grill corn and potatoes right at the homestay in a chill space.
A new day begins, everyone recharges their bodies and then enters the “Primitive Village” of Hang Tau. In addition to playing with the children in games such as soccer, wading..., these tourists are most interested in experiencing pounding and shaping sticky rice cakes, specialties of the H'Mong people in the village.
“We contacted the villagers in advance to organize a banh day pounding event for us to participate in and everyone helped enthusiastically. Banh day is a traditional cake of the H'Mong people, made from steamed sticky rice, pounded and shaped into round cakes wrapped in banana leaves while still hot. Banh day is often used by the H'Mong people in festivals, ancestor worship…”, the “Di Tron Khong” team said.
Tired from pounding rice cakes, but when enjoying the soft, fragrant cake pounded by the tourists themselves, everyone was more excited. At the end of the morning experience in the village, everyone got a rice cake to bring home as a gift.
Everyone continued to check-in and take pictures with the blooming buckwheat flower hill in Chieng Di. No need to go to Ha Giang, the immense flower hill here is enough to make tourists take pictures forever and still not feel satisfied...

In order for visitors to have a wonderful experience in Moc Chau, the "Going Away" team also has some notes for everyone to grasp and prepare carefully before the tour.
Specifically, the “Going Away” team shared that at Hanh Mung and Hai Yen rose gardens, there are big, delicious persimmons, so everyone should visit before the persimmon season is over. In addition, visitors should remember to bring a swimsuit to cool off in the waterfall as well as wear bright-colored clothes (white, yellow, pink, orange, etc.) so that when taking photos at locations in Moc Chau, they will look very beautiful.
Besides, you can prepare some candy for the children in the “Primitive Village”. Although the children are quite shy in front of strangers, they are very obedient and cute. If you want to have lunch in the village, you can contact the ticket gate to the village. There are not too many things in here but enough to serve visitors for lunch in the village kitchen.
“One more thing to note, remember not to leave trash in the “primitive village”, and do not break trees or pick leaves from the village. The village is beautiful, even a leaf contributes to the beauty of the village, so everyone should just admire it, but do not take anything from the village...”, the representative of the “Going Away” team added.
