(Sop Cop) On August 18th, a delegation from the Provincial Border Steering Committee, led by Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial Border Steering Committee, visited Sop Cop district to inspect and assess the situation regarding border and boundary marker management and security and order maintenance.
Accompanying them were Comrade Luu Minh Quan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies; and representatives of the provincial armed forces. On the Sop Cop district side, accompanying them were Comrade Duong Tu Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the District Party Committee; Comrade Quang Van Tieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee - Chairman of the District People's Council; Comrade Dao Dinh Thi - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee - Chairman of the District People's Committee; leaders of several district agencies and units; leaders of the Nam Lanh, Muong Leo, and Muong Lan Border Guard Posts; and representatives of the leaders of the district's border communes.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh and the delegation visited and encouraged officers and soldiers performing duties at the Nam Lanh Sub-border Gate Station and the people in Keo Vai village, Nam Lanh commune. They also worked with the Nam Lanh, Muong Lan, and Muong Leo Border Guard Posts. The commanders of these posts informed the delegation about the situation and results of their work in managing and protecting border sovereignty and security, and maintaining social order and safety in the area. In recent times, the territorial sovereignty, border security, political security, and social order and safety in the district have been maintained; the border system, border markers, and border structures have been managed, protected, and preserved in their original state. The people trust the Party committee and the government, and are actively engaged in production and economic and social development. In the coming time, the posts will continue to effectively carry out defense diplomacy, border guard diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy. Maintain exchanges of information and relationships between Party committees, governments, and armed forces of border districts; effectively carry out mass mobilization work, take care of the people's material and spiritual lives, and help them develop economically, culturally, and socially.

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial Border Steering Committee requested that Sop Cop district and the Border Guard Posts continue to do well in foreign affairs; strengthen coordination with armed forces units, raise vigilance, and closely monitor the situation both within and outside the border. Together with the local Party committee and government, they should effectively carry out mass mobilization work, care for the material and spiritual lives of the people, and help the people develop economically, culturally, and socially.
