On September 9th and 10th, a delegation from the Border Guard Logistics Department, led by Colonel Nguyen Duc Sy, Head of Logistics, inspected the logistical preparations for the 2nd Vietnam-Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program. Attending and working with the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Moc Chau District, Son La Province; representatives from the Board of Directors of Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School, Moc Chau District, Son La Province; and representatives from the Son La Border Guard Command, including the Commander and the Logistics-Technical Department.

The delegation inspected the progress of the construction of the classroom block at Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School; the preparation of plants, the construction of planters, nameplates, and materials for friendship tree planting activities; surveyed and coordinated the provision of military medical services, medical examinations, and free medicine for people in the border area; the construction of standardized barracks, dining halls, kitchens, agricultural production areas, and medicinal herb gardens; and the repair, renovation, and upgrading of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Military-Civilian Medical Station, the Control Station, and the Long Sap Border Gate Border Guard Post...
After inspecting the site and listening to the report from the Son La Border Guard Command, Colonel Nguyen Duc Sy expressed his sincere gratitude for the attention and leadership of the Moc Chau District People's Committee, specifically the Deputy Chairman of the District; and the effective coordination of the Board of Directors of Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School. At the same time, Colonel Nguyen Duc Sy also acknowledged, highly appreciated, and commended the efforts of the unit and the contractor constructing the classroom block at Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School. Despite the short construction time and the impact of storms, especially Typhoon No. 3, the agencies and units actively and proactively worked day and night, ensuring quality and progress.
This is a project of great significance and profound humanitarian value that the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Border Guard Command have paid attention to and directed to be presented to the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Long Sap commune, and the teachers and students of Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School. With the time for organizing the Exchange Program still very short and the workload heavy, to ensure good logistical preparation, Colonel Nguyen Duc Sy requested that the unit thoroughly understand and strictly implement the plans, official documents, and guidelines of the Border Guard Command and the Border Guard Logistics Department; develop plans, assign and delegate tasks for each department, and link them to the responsibilities of the individuals in charge; actively urge contractors to further accelerate the construction progress of projects and items, ensuring progress and quality, without relying on or depending on the weather, focusing on the classroom area of the Long Sap Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School; repair, renovation, and upgrading of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Military-Civilian Medical Station, the Control Station, and the Border Guard Post at Long Sap border gate.
Simultaneously, urgently select friendly tree species and content for the friendship tree planting activities of the Minister of National Defense of Vietnam and the Minister of National Defense of Laos, and report to the Border Guard Command for approval; closely coordinate with the Military Medical Department (General Department of Logistics), the Military Medical Department of Military Region 2, and local health authorities to ensure good military medical services for the Exchange Program, including medical examinations, treatment, and free medicine distribution for people in border areas; coordinate with accommodation facilities to ensure good food, sleep, and rest for delegates, guests, and service personnel, paying particular attention to the accommodation and meals at the Northwest Training Center; continue to review, thoroughly clean, and renovate the barracks of the Long Sap Border Gate Border Guard Post to ensure regularity, greenness, cleanliness, and beauty.
