The delegation visited and encouraged the people of Phiêng Pằn commune and the officers and soldiers of the Phiêng Pằn Border Guard Post. Currently, Phiêng Pằn commune has 6.8 km of border, adjacent to the Nà Toong cluster of villages, Xiềng Khọ district, Hủa Phăn province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The commune has 19 villages, 1,853 households with 9,276 inhabitants. In recent times, the local Party committee and government have strengthened propaganda and mobilization, guiding people to change the structure of crops and livestock to suit the local advantages. National target programs have been implemented effectively. The material and spiritual lives of the people have gradually improved. Border security, political security, and social order and safety in the area have been maintained. The Border Guard Post, in coordination with the local government, has strengthened the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws to the people in the area; Maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster, regularly organize patrols to protect the border and boundary markers, and guard the unit's safety.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong suggested that Mai Son district continue to effectively carry out Party building work, consolidate the political system; implement social welfare policies, ethnic and religious affairs; proactively coordinate with police, military, and border guard forces to ensure security and order at the grassroots level; promote the role of mediation teams and Party branches in resolving difficulties at the grassroots level; pay attention to supporting people in developing production, increasing income, and actively participating in building new rural areas.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation presented 15 gifts to disadvantaged families in Phiêng Pằn commune.
