Ladies and gentlemen,

We look forward to future summits with a strong belief and aspiration for a peaceful, prosperous, and beautiful world, where people are at the center of policies and actions.

We expect this historic conference to bring new thinking and new approaches to the future of the world. This will be an opportunity for the United Nations and multilateralism to reaffirm their irreplaceable values ​​in the face of the immense challenges of our time.

Vietnam will actively contribute to the Conference and to joint efforts to strengthen international peace, cooperation, and solidarity, in order to effectively achieve the sustainable development goals. We will continuously strive to ensure that all citizens fully enjoy the fruits of development and prepare for future generations.

In that spirit, I propose that the Conference focus its discussions on and agree upon transformative solutions. First and foremost, there needs to be a transformation in science, technology, and innovation, with the United Nations playing a leading role in establishing a legal framework for information sharing and supporting countries in developing new and cutting-edge technologies such as digital technology, artificial intelligence, and automation… in a safe manner. The latest achievements in science and technology must reach all countries in a fair, beneficial, and inclusive way.

Secondly, the sustainable development of the world is linked to green transformation, especially green technology, green energy, and green finance. We propose studying the establishment of a global green technology forum for ASEAN and other regional organizations to share experiences and promote green technology.

Third, we need to promote a transformation in global governance, focusing on reforming the United Nations and multilateral financial institutions to effectively respond to current and future challenges and better mobilize resources to support developing countries.

We believe that, through cooperation and concrete action, we can achieve the goals of the Conference and build a solid foundation for future generations.
