On September 11th, a delegation from the Departments of Education and Sports of six provinces in the Lao People's Democratic Republic – Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Oudomxay, Phongsaly, Xieng Khouang, and Xay Nha Bu Ly – visited the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School and Nguyen Trai Secondary School in Son La City. Leaders from the Son La Provincial Department of Education and Training also accompanied the delegation.

In a spirit of solidarity, sharing, learning, and mutual understanding, and in a warm and open atmosphere, the leaders of the two schools reported on the results of their educational work over the past period. They also welcomed and sincerely thanked the delegation from the Department of Education and Sports of the provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic for their attention, close and friendly feelings, and expressed their hope that this visit would further strengthen the traditional friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Laos, especially in education. Following this, the delegation visited the facilities, campuses, libraries, smart classrooms, and traditional rooms of the two schools.
