Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, in 2022, the Standing Committee of Sop Cop District Party Committee selected and registered the model "All people participate in protecting border lines and landmarks" in Nam Lanh commune as a typical district-level model for replication.
Officers and soldiers of Nam Lanh Border Post and militia protect border markers.
Comrade Quàng Văn Tiêu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, said: The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has directed the Party Committee of Nam Lanh commune to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the model according to the goals and guiding viewpoints in Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 9, 2015 of the Prime Minister on organizing a movement for the entire people to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation.
The Party Committee of Nam Lanh commune has organized to disseminate and implement the directive documents of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to the departments, branches, mass organizations of the commune, and affiliated Party cells regarding the model "All people participate in protecting border markers" in Keo Vai village; promptly issued documents to lead and direct the implementation; assigned political and social organizations to develop action programs to implement the model according to the direction. The People's Committee of the commune coordinated with the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and Nam Lanh Border Guard Station to organize, implement and concretize the directive documents, plans, and instructions of the superiors on the implementation of the model to ensure timeliness and effectiveness.
Comrade Vi Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, informed: Border guards and organizations have actively gone to each village and met with each household to mobilize and propagate the responsibility of each person in protecting the border and border markers. Immediately after building the model, in just 4 months, the Party Committee, the commune government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, and affiliated Party cells coordinated with Nam Lanh Border Guard Station to organize 12 meetings to disseminate and propagate the directives of the superior Party Committee and the directives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee on the protection of the border and border markers for nearly 1,000 participants.
From 2022 to present, the commune has established 2 "Self-management groups for border markers" in Keo Vai and Huoi Hia villages, 11 "Solidarity groups to ensure security and order" in 11/11 villages; currently, all groups are operating stably and effectively. Typically, in Keo Vai village, since the model was deployed, the people in the village have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships, voluntarily participating in border patrols with the border guards.
Patrols through the forest and along border markers have become a weekly routine for the people here. Village chief Vu A Nhenh shared: Learning from Uncle Ho, we know we must unite and protect the land and borders of the Fatherland. Each person contributes a small part, the country will be strong.
Nam Lanh Border Guard Station manages and protects more than 25 km of border, with 33 villages and 1 residential cluster in 2 communes of Nam Lanh and Muong Va. In recent times, the Party Committee and Command Board of the Station have led and directed the improvement of the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work to encourage local people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, agreements, treaties, border regulations and policies of the local government.
