On the Phù Yên district side, attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyễn Viết Hưng, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the District Party Committee; Comrade Cầm Văn Tân, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council; Comrade Đặng Quang Hưng, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee; and other members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the District Party Committee. On the Nặm Bạc district side, attendees included Comrade Sổm Vẳng - Phon Khăm Vông Sả, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and District Head of Nặm Bạc district, along with a delegation from Nặm Bạc district.

To deepen the close cooperative relationship between the two districts and achieve positive results.

In an atmosphere of strong solidarity, special friendship, trust, and mutual understanding, the two districts informed each other about their socio-economic situation, jointly assessed the implementation of cooperation between the two districts in the past period, and proposed directions for future cooperation. On behalf of the Phu Yen district delegation, Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the District Party Committee, gave a general report on the socio-economic situation and national defense and security in Phu Yen district. Accordingly, from the beginning of the year to date, the total budget revenue in the district has reached 50.9 billion VND. The total mobilized social investment capital is estimated at 9,790 billion VND, reaching 73.9% of the target set in the Congress Resolution. Regarding agriculture, the focus is on specialty agricultural products and livestock that are the district's strengths, following the direction of clean and organic agriculture such as oranges, rice, garlic, and bamboo rats... To date, the entire district has developed 15 OCOP products. Regarding rural development, the entire district has 10 communes that have achieved new rural standards, and 2 villages that have achieved model new rural village status; it is expected that by the end of 2024, there will be an additional 1 new rural commune and 3 villages that have achieved model new rural village status. In terms of industry and handicrafts, the district continues to maintain and expand 3 hydropower plants, 3 enterprises belonging to Ngoc Ha Shoe Joint Stock Company, and 1 garment factory, creating jobs for nearly 5,000 local workers. In tourism development, the district currently has 2 tourist destinations: the historical site of the resistance war against the French in the Nhot forest area and the Suoi Chieu Lake tourist site... In the first 9 months of 2024, the district welcomed nearly 53,000 tourists, exceeding the plan by 22.1%, with revenue reaching nearly 18 billion VND. Education, health care, and cultural activities effectively serve political tasks and improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people. Security and social order were maintained, and political security was ensured. External relations were given attention, especially maintaining and developing good friendly relations with Nam Bac district, transferring scientific and technical knowledge, plant varieties, and assisting the neighboring district in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the meeting, Comrade Som Vang - Phon Kham Vong Sa, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and District Head of Nam Bac District, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the Phu Yen District delegation. He hoped that in the future, both sides would continue to build upon the achievements already made, maintain and strengthen the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and the peoples of Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Phu Yen District and Nam Bac District in particular; and further deepen the close cooperative relationship between the two districts, achieving meaningful results and enhancing the fine traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
