Bringing the close cooperation relationship between the two districts into depth, achieving positive results

In an atmosphere of solidarity, special friendship, trust and mutual understanding, the two districts informed each other about the socio-economic situation of the two sides, jointly assessed the implementation of cooperation contents between the two districts in the past time; proposed cooperation directions in the coming time. On behalf of the delegation of Phu Yen district, comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, reported an overview of the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in Phu Yen district. Accordingly, from the beginning of the year until now, the total budget revenue in the area has reached 50.9 billion VND. The total mobilized social investment capital is estimated at 9,790 billion VND, reaching 73.9% of the target of the Congress Resolution. Regarding agriculture, focusing on specialty agricultural products of trees and animals that are the district's strengths in the direction of clean agriculture and organic agriculture such as: Oranges, Rice, Garlic, Bamboo Rats... Up to now, the whole district has built 15 OCOP products. Regarding the construction of new rural areas, the whole district has 10 communes meeting new rural standards, 2 villages meeting new rural model standards; it is expected that by the end of 2024, there will be 1 more new rural commune and 3 villages meeting new rural model standards. Regarding industry and handicrafts, 3 hydroelectric plants, 3 enterprises belonging to Ngoc Ha Shoe Joint Stock Company, 1 garment factory will continue to be maintained and expanded, creating jobs for nearly 5,000 local workers. In tourism development, the whole district currently has 2 tourist destinations: the historical site of the resistance war against the French in Ban Nhot forest and Suoi Chieu Lake tourist destination... In the first 9 months of 2024, the district welcomed nearly 53,000 tourists, exceeding the plan by 22.1%, with revenue reaching nearly 18 billion VND. Education, health care and cultural activities effectively serve political tasks, improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people. Security, social order and safety are maintained, political security is ensured. Foreign affairs activities are focused, especially maintaining and developing good friendship relations with Nam Bac district, transferring science and technology, seedlings as well as helping the neighboring district in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

At the meeting, Comrade Som Vang - Phon Kham Vong Sa, Provincial Party Committee member, District Party Committee Secretary, District Chief of Nam Bac district thanked the Phu Yen district delegation for their warm welcome, hoping that in the coming time, the two sides would continue to promote the achieved results, maintain and build the special friendship, comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and the people of Vietnam - Laos in general, between Phu Yen district and Nam Bac district in particular; bring the close cooperative relationship between the two districts deeper and deeper, achieve meaningful results, and further enhance the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
