On July 5, 2019, the Department of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Department of External Information, Ministry of Information and Communications, organized a training conference on knowledge and skills in external information, public speaking, and providing information to the press for 130 participants, including spokespersons and officials in charge of external information work from departments, agencies, and organizations of the province and the People's Committees of districts and cities.
The trainees received basic training on: the rights and responsibilities of heads of state administrative agencies in speaking and providing information to the press; knowledge and skills for spokespersons in providing information to the press; solutions for crisis management and media crisis prevention; professional skills in state management of external information; and guidance on specific aspects of information dissemination, propaganda, and image promotion of the province, and various sectors and localities.
In addition, the trainees also listened to a report on Vietnam's foreign information work in the past period. Specifically, information on the State's guidelines, policies, and laws; the State's views and positions on international and regional issues; the promotion of the country, its people, history, culture, fine traditions, and the material and spiritual values of the Vietnamese nation; the successes in the reform process; and the potential and effectiveness of international cooperation between Vietnam and its partners…
