(baosonla.gov.vn) - Over the years, female military personnel of the Provincial Military Command have actively competed in implementing the movements launched by the Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command, contributing to building strong and comprehensive agencies and units.

The female military doctors of the Provincial Military Command are performing their professional duties well.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Mai, President of the Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command, said: Female military personnel under the Provincial Military Command work in fields such as logistics, confidential document handling, military medicine, office administration, and information... The Association regularly encourages officers and members to cultivate moral qualities of "self-confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and competence," linked to the "four good" criteria of military women (good health, good character, good professional skills, and good family building). The Association regularly monitors the thoughts and aspirations of female officers and members; and advises superiors on appropriate policies for female military personnel in the unit.
Every year, the Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command implements the emulation movement "Intelligent and courageous military women, fulfilling their duties well, building happy families, worthy of being Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era" and the campaign "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean's, contributing to fostering Vietnamese family values," linked with the "Determined to Win" emulation movement. At the same time, it organizes members to register and commit to striving to achieve the standards of the emulation movement; the criteria of military women in the new era. It researches, develops, and implements new models, such as collecting scrap paper and waste materials at the unit to raise funds for the association; saving paper, electricity, and water in the workplace; building a green, clean, and beautiful unit...
Implementing the "Five Good Military Medical Units" movement, female military medical personnel have contributed to providing good healthcare for soldiers, ensuring that the health rate of personnel in units always reaches 98% or higher. In addition, they actively participate with the health sector in effectively carrying out disease prevention and control work, military-civilian medical cooperation programs; and participate in expeditions to remote areas of the province to provide medical examinations and healthcare for policy beneficiaries and the general public.
Major Pham Thi Tu Anh, a military medical officer at the Van Ho District Military Command, shared: "Implementing the emulation movement of the Women's Union, in conjunction with my assigned professional duties, I have advised the unit commander on implementing a plan to collect waste, spray mosquito repellent to prevent dengue fever, plant flowers in the unit's grounds, and cultivate and care for a medicinal herb garden, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful unit landscape. Every year, 100% of the officers and soldiers in the unit receive regular health check-ups, with a health rate of 99.8%, exceeding the target set by the higher authorities."
In addition, the Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command has encouraged its members to save money to help each other develop their family economies; implementing the "Saving by Raising Pigs" model, with each member saving 50,000 VND per month. From 2020 to the present, the Association has mobilized nearly 100 million VND for its members to borrow in rotation to develop their family economies.
Major Vi Thi Hong Nhung, from the Communications Company, Staff Department, Provincial Military Command, shared: "Thanks to the support of the Women's Association, my family was able to borrow 20 million VND to build a barn for raising 4 breeding pigs and over 200 chickens. To date, the livestock has developed well, helping my family earn extra income."
In implementing emulation movements, along with mobilizing members, the Association also encouraged officers and soldiers in the unit to participate, especially in the "Army joins hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind" movement. From the beginning of the year until now, the Association has donated 18 gifts worth 18 million VND to disadvantaged students in Púng Bánh commune, Sốp Cộp district; donated rice and essential supplies to 10 female members in Chiềng Sơn commune, Mộc Châu district, worth 5 million VND. It has also provided free health check-ups and medicine to over 500 people in Chiềng Lao commune, Mường La district; and coordinated with businesses and philanthropists to support and distribute hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged students in the province, with a total value of over 200 million VND.
Through innovation and creativity in its activities and movements, the Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command has been making a significant contribution to the unit's successful completion of local defense and military tasks.
