Son La has issued a decision approving the investment attraction list for the 2021-2025 period, including 367 projects in various fields.

By the end of January 2024, the provinceSon Laorganized the announcement of the planning of Son La province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1676/QD-TTg dated December 25, 2023. This is an important event, affirming the aspirations and visions, pointing out the development drivers, so that Son La province can exploit and maximize its potentials and strengths for development in the direction of multi-sectoral, multi-field, comprehensive and green, fast and sustainable development.

Over the years, Son La province has always identified planning as the top priority task, creating the highest legal framework, an important tool for planning socio-economic spatial development orientations, allocating and effectively using resources.

In particular, immediately after the Law on Planning was issued and took effect, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Son La province urgently implemented it with the participation of the entire political system in planning work.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, said: During the planning process, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Son La province have led and directed departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and cities to proactively and closely coordinate with consulting units, functional agencies of central ministries and branches, neighboring provinces, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Government Office to organize conferences and seminars to consult scientists and experts to complete the planning. At the same time, submit it to the Son La Provincial Planning Appraisal Council for approval, ensuring quality and progress according to regulations.

“The planning of Son La province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is to concretize the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the whole country for 10 years, 2021-2030 period, Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated February 10, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development orientations, ensuring national defense and security in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region to 2030, with a vision to 2045; national plans, sectoral plans, regional plans and the Resolution of the 15th Congress of Son La Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020-2025”, the Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee added.

The Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province also emphasized: With the spirit of economic development must be in harmony with solving social problems, balanced development between sectors, not sacrificing social progress and justice, not trading off the environment to pursue purely economic development. To effectively implement the planning with the vision, planning goals and aspirations to develop Son La into reality, Son La province has been directing the promotion of propaganda and widespread dissemination of the core contents of the provincial planning to all levels, sectors, business communities and people of all walks of life, in order to create unity in awareness with high determination, drastic and effective actions in implementing the planning.

Based on the planning content, Son La province has also directed all levels, sectors, districts and cities to coordinate in organizing the implementation of the provincial planning plan in accordance with the provisions of law and the Prime Minister's approval decision, ensuring consistency, synchronization and harmony between all levels, sectors and localities.

Assign the heads of Party committees, agencies, units, and localities to urgently and seriously identify the key and main tasks of their agencies and units to focus on directing the development of programs and implementation plans with specific goals, tasks, and products associated with completion time, as a basis for leadership and direction of implementation.

Focus on implementing administrative reform well, improving the investment environment, supporting businesses; improving the provincial competitiveness index, the provincial public administration and governance efficiency index, the administrative reform index; organizing the implementation of the set of indicators to evaluate administrative reform results at all levels, creating a favorable environment for calling for and attracting investment, mobilizing resources to implement the planning.

Along with that, Son La province is also focusing on innovation, promoting digital transformation; developing the province's information infrastructure, science and technology database in a modern and synchronous direction; investing in improving the capacity and operational efficiency of the Center for Startups and Innovation; supporting and connecting innovative programs, projects and startups to operate effectively.

Timely and effectively implement national target programs; policies and solutions to solve employment problems for workers associated with improving job quality, prioritizing job support, creating livelihoods, vocational training for young people starting businesses, workers in disadvantaged communes, especially disadvantaged villages in remote, isolated and border areas...

The approval of the Son La province planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, clearly demonstrates the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Government, Prime Minister, Government Office, Ministry of Planning and Investment and ministries, branches and central agencies for Son La province.
