The Son La City Military Command mobilized more than 50 officers and soldiers to join other forces in assisting Phieng Nghe village.
Due to the impact of typhoon number 2, from July 23rd to July 25th, the city experienced prolonged heavy rainfall, resulting in prolonged flooding and landslides in many areas, causing significant damage to people's property.

Due to the impact of heavy rain and flooding, more than 40 households in Phiêng Nghè village had their homes flooded and had to temporarily relocate.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quan, Deputy Commander of the Son La City Military Command, said: "Along with other units and departments, we have mobilized 50 officers and soldiers to assist households in carrying out sanitation and disinfection work in their homes. At the same time, we are coordinating with other forces to disseminate information and guide people on sanitation and disinfection to prevent the outbreak of diseases among people and livestock after the natural disaster."

LLeaders of the Son La City Party Committee, along with participating forces, helped households in Phieng Nghe village collect garbage and clean up the environment after the floodwaters receded.
During this period, the forces also assisted households in rearranging their homes, relocating belongings from temporary residences back to their original homes, reinforcing livestock shelters, and ensuring that environmental sanitation was carried out effectively.
The forces were also divided into 3 teams, with Team 1 helping households clean their homes; Team 2 helping clean the kindergarten and primary school; and Team 3 helping clear the soil and rocks that had slid down the road from the top of Phiêng Nghè slope to the school and the central area of Phiêng Nghè village.

The city of Son La also mobilized people from the villages to help the residents of Phieng Nghe village clean up the mud and debris caused by the floods.
